Case Description:
Mr. Quan Tongju was a 68-year-old practitioner. After the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, he and his whole family, including his wife, daughter-in-law, and daughter were arrested and persecuted in detention centers. All of them were sent to labor camps. Mr. Quan was so frightened that he suffered sudden deafness. He was released to take care of his baby granddaughter, but he was constantly harassed and threatened. He died as a result of persecution on November 6, 2002.
