Case Description:

(Minghui.org) Ms. You Zhenghua was a resident of Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Officers from the local Fude Police Station harassed her at home three times in 2015. She lived in fear and her health kept declining. She eventaully became bedridden but never wavered in her faith in Falun Gong. She said Falun Gong gave her hope.

More than a dozen officers surrounded Ms. You's home at 9 a.m. on August 3, 2017. Her husband, who had hearing issues, didn't hear clearly who was knocking on the door. He opened the door, only to see the police rush in to turn everything upside down.

All of Ms. You's Falun Gong books and materials, as well as computer and printers, were confiscated. They took Ms. You's husband to the police station and didn't release him until 3:30 p.m. In the meantime, a few officers stayed behind to see if any practitioner would visit Ms. You. Those few officers didn't leave until 5:30 p.m.

In the month that followed, the police called Ms. You's family many times, asking them to visit the police station. They refused to comply.

Ms. You was traumatized by the home raid and saddened that all her Falun Gong books were gone. She grew a tumor in her nose and was sent to the local hospital on November 11, 2017. The doctors there referred her to a bigger hospital, which diagnosed her with Squamous-cell carcinoma. She had a surgery and remained hospitalized for a while.

Her son took a leave from his job and cared for her every day. Around December 15, 2017, the police called her son demanding her to visit the police station.

Ms. You died days later, on December 19, 2017. She was 65.
