Case Description:
(Minghui.org) Mr. Qi Qingyuan of Liaoyang City was arrested in May 2006 and sentenced to five years in prison one month later. While imprisoned at Dongling Prison, he was subjected to various forms of abuse. His health declined as a result.
He had a heart attack six days before his scheduled day of release, June 13, 2011. His family saw him handcuffed and shackled when they rushed to visit him at the hospital.
Mr. Qi had no memories of what happened to him after he was released. He had swelling in his legs and feet, and couldn’t walk steadily. He had a stroke and died on March 20, 2017. He was 74.
