Case Description:

( Mr. Sun Yufa was a resident of Baishan City, Jilin Province. He filed a criminal complaint in 2015 against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong.

Police kept harassing him upon learning of his complaint. He was forced to live away from home for three months. He later returned home, only to be harassed by police again. His heart problems worsened in March 2017 when his daughter was sentenced to three years in prison for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. The elderly man passed away soon afterward. He was 72.

Police officers Li Haibo and Niu Zhanyi ransacked Mr. Sun Yufa's home and took over 50 Falun Gong books, a computer, and a cell phone in early December 2014. They took Mr. Sun, in his 70s, to a hospital for a physical. He was released due to his poor health. They subsequently went to Ms. Wang Guizhi's home to arrest her. Ms. Wang, 76, was not at home. Since then, police officers have often shown up at her home to harass the family.

The police went to Ms. Li Chunyan's home and conducted a search on December 15, 2014. They took Falun Gong books and a DVD player. Ms. Li became distraught and bedridden after she was threatened by the officers.
