Falun Gong practitioners in Los Angeles held a press conference on the square in front of City Hall at noon on May 2, 2006. They called for the US Government to direct their attention to the reason for Dr. Wang's protest at the White House, and to help stop the seven-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), especially the harvesting of living Falun Gong practitioners' organs.

"Stop Persecuting Falun Gong." "Stop Harvesting Falun Gong Practitioners' Organs." "Falun Dafa Is Good." Falun Gong practitioners also re-enacted organ-harvesting at the CCP's forced labor camps and concentration camps.

Mr. Qu Zheng, an engineer at JPL of NASA and fellow alumnus of Dr. Wang Wenyi at the University of Chicago, Professor Wu Yingnian of UCLA, Falun Gong practitioner Li Shan, who personally experienced persecution in China, Mr. James White, Mr. Matt Gnaizda and Representative of Global Service Center to Quit the CCP Ms. Li Hailun gave speeches at the conference.
Call for Dropping Charges against Wang Wenyi and Paying Attention to the Background
Professor Wu Yingnian of UCLA pointed out that Dr. Wang Wenyi's protest at the White House was earth-shaking. It has not only won support from the American people and media who value freedom, but also embodied the spirit of not yielding to the power of the CCP regime. On behalf of local Falun Gong practitioners in LA, Professor Wu called for the American government to drop the charges against Dr. Wang and redirect its attention to the reason for Dr. Wang's protest: seven years of bloody persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP, especially the recently exposed anti-human atrocity of harvesting Falun Gong practitioners' organs.
Professor Wu summarized facts of the persecution and pointed out that the confirmed cases reported at the Minghui website was only a tiny part of the whole persecution, especially as it related to organ harvesting. The peak of this crime happened between 2001 and 2003. It wasn't exposed until recently by two witnesses. The "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG) had been established with the joint effort of Minghui website and Falun Dafa Association. Several investigators' applications for visas to go to China to make on-site investigations were rejected for no reason. Professor Wu called on the American government and international organizations to provide moral and technical support to the coalition.
American practitioners James White and Matt Gnaizda also expressed their strong request for the American government to drop the charges against Dr. Wang and immediately engage in an investigation of Chinese forced labor camps and concentration camps, to stop the genocidal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and to help save thousands of innocent lives.
Conscience Won't Allow Us to Keep Silent.
Mr. Qu Zheng, an engineer at JPL of NASA and fellow alumnus of Dr. Wang at the University of Chicago, said his colleagues had hard time understanding how a human being could possibly conduct such unimaginable crimes against another human being. Qu thought many people hadn't realized the role of the CCP's propaganda. The propaganda of the whole nation was committed to an overwhelming campaign to demonize Falun Gong since the beginning of the persecution. Under such influence, the first reaction of most Chinese upon hearing "Falun Gong" was "crazy people" or even "human trash". Anne, one of the two witnesses, had mentioned in her testimony that her ex-husband, a former surgeon involved in organ-harvesting, was told he was helping the CCP with "cleansing". It was the same way that Nazi had regarded Jews. The CCP had forced the mentality into the culture that the CCP's class enemies should not be treated as humans and they had no dignity or rights. Qu mentioned that Anne's ex-husband had been greatly disturbed when he saw a note dropping out of the pocket of a Falun Gong practitioner for whom he was about to do the organ removal operation. It said, "Mom, happy birthday!" The conscience of the surgeon was disturbed, because at that moment he realized the victims who died under his knife were real people who had parents and children and treasured their lives! Facing such inhuman atrocity, our conscience won't allow us to keep silent. This is the true reason behind Dr. Wang's unconventional protest. He expressed his complete moral support for Dr. Wang.
Verifying Harvesting of Live Falun Gong Practitioners' Organs with Personal Experience
Falun Gong practitioner Li Shan had been thrown into forced labor camps and mental hospitals several time in China. Before she came to the U.S. in 2004, she had suffered memory loss and a mental breakdown due to extended mental and physical torture.
Ms. Li said thousands and thousands of Falun Gong practitioners had been to Beijing to appeal since the persecution was launched. A police station was dedicated to arresting Falun Gong practitioners from the provinces. Because of the evil implication system, kind-hearted Falun Gong practitioners wouldn't tell their names and addresses for fear of implicating their local officials and company leaders. Some of them were sent to Beijing Xin'An Women's Forced Labor Camp. Some were sent to northeast China.
Ms. Li recounted that the policemen threatened practitioners, "You will be sent to the desert!" "You will be killed like an ant!" When Falun Gong practitioners were transferred from one place to another, they were handcuffed together forced to knee on the floor facing the seats. It looked like an empty van from outside. When some practitioners were called out, she thought they were being released. Now thinking back, she thinks they were probably sent to death camps.
Li said the CCP shamelessly deceived the world by showing off grass, flowers and fish tanks in the camps. They would have a persecuted practitioner say how the CCP had saved her. The CCP devastated one physically and mentally and then made him express his gratitude in tears. Even Nazis could not compare to the evil CCP.
Based on the deceptive nature of the CCP, an independent investigation without interference is a must.
Murders Stimulate Tide of Quitting the CCP
Ms. Li Hailun, representative of the Global Service to Quit the CCP, said the CCP's killing of innocent people had stimulated a backlash from all walks of life in China. It has been condemned by all the forces of justice in the world and allowed more Chinese people to see the evil nature of the CCP. More and more people are quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The number has reached 10 million. Just like the sudden collapse of the former Soviet Communist Party, the CCP's collapse will come soon.
She strongly called for the international community to immediately investigate the Chinese forced labor camps, to stop the crime of organ-harvesting, to rescue Falun Gong practitioners and to bring the criminals to justice.
At 10:30 a.m. on the morning of April 28, 2006, two Falun Gong practitioners in Indonesia were beaten in front of a public security agency at Pancoran, the largest Chinatown in Jakarta, Indonesia. They were holding a peaceful protest, distributing truth clarification materials about the CCP's organ harvesting. One of them received several blows on his head with a long stick, causing severe bleeding. This is the latest instance in which the Chinese Communist regime has spread its hatred with a deliberate attack on Falun Gong practitioners.

The injured practitioner and the other practitioner said that they wanted to tell the public of the CCP's brutality in forcefully extracting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, and selling them in the transplant trade, and this crime, which is completely against humanity, is still going on. They hoped the public would learn the truth and together end the CCP's atrocities. Moreover, they had received a permit for their activities.
The two practitioners explained that even before they put up the banner and display boards to expose the persecution, this assailant had been waiting there for a long time. He continuously cursed at them and behaved threateningly. The security agents wanted them to go to the nearby security agency office for interrogation.
The injured practitioner said, "I stood aside and listened to the practitioner as he explained our activity to the security agents. That perpetrator asked me a question and I responded. To my surprise, he immediately swung the long wooden stick he was holding and hit my head with it. I did not know him and I do not know why he hit me. " The injured practitioner's head spattered a lot of blood immediately after being hit. The blood spattered on the other practitioner's T shirt and his own coat.
The security agents told the practitioners that they have a list of local Chinese who cosigned a petition against Falun Gong holding any activity in Pancoran. However they did not state the reason.
Falun Dafa has spread to nearly 80 countries around the whole world, and only the CCP persecutes Falun Gong and behaves like hoodlums, export lies and spreads hatred, and instigates the Chinese Embassy to manipulate the overseas Chinese to persecute Falun Gong.
The security agents also told practitioners that they had no intention of stopping Falun Gong's activities, because they know Falun Gong is good, but the Chinese Embassy gave them the list and coerced them to forbid Falun Gong practitioners from holding activities.
In the end, the two Falun Gong practitioners pointed out that opposing Falun Gong's peaceful activities to resist violence and reveal the truth is the same as submitting to the CCP's aims, and that Indonesia is a democratic and free country ruled by law. Expressing different opinions and views are protected by Indonesia's national constitution. That is the right of every citizen. Whoever infringes on this right is deliberately violating the law and will be punished by law. Chinese Indonesian citizens should act in accordance with their conscience, and not harm others or themselves under the control of the CCP.
The Argentina Branch of The Epoch Times participated in the largest international book fair in Latin America for the first time and displayed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Readers got to learn more about the atrocities of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) during its 57 year rule in China, and the reasons why the CCP cannot represent China. At the opening ceremony, The Epoch Times presented the Spanish version of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to the Vice President, the Ministers of Education and Foreign Ministries and VIPs who attended the ceremony. Truth-clarification materials renouncing the CCP and its atrocities of live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners were also presented. They accepted the literature in person.

Interference from CCP's Embassy fails again
The annual Buenos Aires International Book Fair is one the biggest book fairs in the world. This year it was held from April 20 to May 8. There were 1400 booths and 1000 various cultural programs. Over one million visitors are expected to attend the fair. Since it is a large international cultural activity, big publishers, book dealers, chain bookstores, non-governmental organizations from many countries have booths and introduce their books and cultures. The CCP's Embassy usually participated in the book fair and held various seminars and cultural exchange activities.
Two years ago, the CCP's Embassy tried to expel Falun Gong practitioners and threatened the book fair organizers that it would withdraw if the practitioners' booth were not cancelled. The CCP's unreasonable request was rejected, so it cancelled all scheduled cultural seminars and withdrew from the fair. One organizer disclosed to the Epoch Times that the Embassy exerted pressure to the fair each year over the past two years and asked the fair to cancel Falun Gong's participation. The Embassy said it would not participate if there were a Falun Gong practitioners' booth. The organizers did not change their position, since it was in Argentina. All organizations have freedom of speech. The organizer congratulated the Epoch Times and said the newspaper was excellent.
This year, the Chinese Embassy used the same strategy and requested the fair to cancel the participation of the Epoch Times. In 2004, the embassy's Consulate of Culture and Politics met the chairman of the fair committee and put forward the unreasonable request. The illegal and rude manner of eliminating a voice of truth can only cause people in democratic countries to think and refuse to cooperate.
Because of the CCP's withdrawal, no more of the CCP's bloody flag, culture and books are being shown in the book fair.
Argentina: CCP's act is demonic
The Epoch Times' booth showed the Spanish Nine Commentaries and reports on quitting the CCP, and exposed the CCP's atrocities in live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners. During the last two weeks, the booth attracted many visitors. Generally, the Argentine people believe in god, and think that the CCP's live organ removal is a demonic act.
During the first few days, many visitors did not accept the volunteers' handouts after glancing and showed loathing expression. After observing and talking, the volunteers found out that the visitors misunderstood the handouts since there was the eye-catching title "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party". People thought it was pro-CCP propaganda. The volunteers did not think that there were so many people who hated the CCP. So when they had the second batch of handouts printed, the Epoch Times moved the title to the bottom of the handout and printed on top "A book leading to the CCP's collapse..." Many visitors then stopped to accept the handouts and there were no people returning the handouts.
Stories during the book fair
One retired professor named Jorge Rossi took ten copies of Nine Commentaries on Communist Party and said that he would send them to his friends. He said the Argentine people admired Chinese culture but wrongly mistook the CCP for China. The book will correct people's concepts. He appreciated the Epoch Times' giving the Argentine people a chance to recognize the CCP's true nature.
A member of the Lion's Club came to the booth and said after reading the handout that the International Association of Lion's Clubs has a cornea base from donations. But the number of people who need corneas is much greater than those who can donate. The issue was solved in 2000. Since 2000, the lion club buys corneas from China. He said they send two orders each year. He thought that a cornea is not an industrial product and can only be stored for ten days if donated. How could China fill the orders? The CCP told them the corneas were from death row inmates. How possible could the CCP harvest enough corneas in time to fill other countries' needs? When the volunteer of the Epoch Times explained to him that the CCP initiated the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, he lowered his head and did not speak.
Two local people asked why the media did not cover such important news and said they would call them.
Two ten-year-old students signed the petition to protest the CCP's atrocities. They retuned after a while and said that just a signature could not express their indignant feelings toward the CCP. They took much literature and would distribute it in their school to have their classmates and teachers understand the evil nature of the CCP.
Many people already knew about the CCP's atrocities of live organ removal. Three TV stations of No. 7, 9 and 26 covered the issue. The TV 9 and 26 reported Dr. Wenyi Wang's shouting at the White House. TV 7 covered practitioner Yuzhi Wang's visit one month ago. Many people said that the whole world should immediately condemn the CCP's atrocities, rescue those Chinese people in danger and stop the CCP's crimes against humanity.
Saturday, April 24, 2006, local Falun Gong practitioners organized an information day in downtown Mannheim. They informed passersby of the gruesome organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China's labor camps and concentration camps, which are carried out for profit. They told the listeners that the bodies are burned after the organs are removed to destroy all evidence.

There was much activity in the pedestrian zones and the passersby were appalled about the activities in China and the vicious deeds of the Communist regime. Many signed the petitions without a second thought. The petition appeals to the German Federal government to launch an immediate investigation into the allegations - the inhuman activities at China's concentration camps - an end to the murder and torture and the immediate release of all detainees.
The practitioners pointed to the urgency of such support, as in China there are tens of thousands in mortal danger at this time. The Communist regime is under great pressure to destroy all infamous evidence before the so-called law forbidding any further organ harvesting goes into effect on July 1. All passersby were asked to send a letter to different politicians.
There were times when there were many people listening to the practitioners explanations at the information booth, and many looking at the harmonious Falun Gong exercises that were demonstrated behind the booth. Many were stunned to hear about the cruel atrocities committed by the Communist regime.
One practitioner offered a lady who was rushing by in a hurry a flyer and said, "Hidden concentration camps discovered in China!" The lady stopped immediately, turned around and said with a horror-stricken voice "Concentration camps? Where?" The practitioner had the full attention of the lady and thus could brief her about the hidden camps and the illegal organ harvesting. The lady was visibly shaken and expressed her deepest sympathies to the practitioners in China. She asked why the media does not report this and promised to support this cause and to circulate the information.
That Saturday many people in Mannheim took the opportunity to hear about the actual ongoing situation in China, to position themselves and to denounce the crimes committed by the Chinese regime.
