(Clearwisdom.net) I was held in the Women's Labor Camp of Anhui Province for four years. I write the following to expose to the public the crimes committed at the labor camp against Falun Gong practitioners.

Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief became one of the most important tasks for the prison guards at the Anhui Province Women's Labor Camp. Their other duties were forcing the prisoners to perform excessively heavy labor. Each day the prisoners were forced to spend about 16 hours working intensely like slaves.

The Women's Labor Camp of Anhui Province closely followed Jiang's hooligan regime by mistreating Falun Gong practitioners cruelly and inhumanely.

After prison guard Pan Lei was appointed chief of the labor camp in 2003, he made use of drug addicted prisoners and prostitutes to closely monitor Falun Gong practitioners and torture them. Various inhumane torture methods were used, included sleep deprivation, cruel beatings, tight bindings with rope, taping the mouth with wide tape, and stuffing filthy items in practitioners' mouths.

The perpetrators were rewarded by the guards according to their cruelty in mistreating practitioners. The cruelest ones received the most credit and were rewarded with reduced sentence terms. Indulged and incited by the prison guards, these prisoners audaciously mistreated Falun Gong practitioners in countless inhumane ways. Many victims were seriously injured or even disabled during the severe beatings.

Much of the mistreatment of practitioners was carried out in an isolated cell hidden from outsiders. The tiny confinement cell measures five or six meters high and is located behind the lavish stage in the multi-functional hall of the labor camp. It is in this cell that practitioners were cruelly beaten, resulting in injury and disability.

Any practitioner who said, "Falun Dafa is good" during a labor camp meeting was locked in the cell and tortured.

In the northern section of the labor camp dormitory, there is a row of small rooms, including a storehouse and a shower room. Practitioners who refused to give up Falun Gong were isolated there and mistreated. They were often seen tightly bound in ropes in the storehouse and shower room.

Practitioners were brainwashed year-round in the Second Group. The brainwashing sessions were organized by prison guard Zhou Mingfeng, who was in charge of forcing Falun Gong practitioners to

give up their beliefs. When the brainwashing sessions were over, a meeting to denounce Falun Gong was held. Terrible suppression of free belief was staged each time such a meeting was held. Practitioners who refused to attend the meeting were held at the meeting by those assigned to monitor them. If anyone said, "Falun Dafa is good," she was immediately swarmed by prison guards. They bound her with ropes, taped her mouth shut and dragged her to the front stage until the meeting was over. Afterwards, the personal monitors, following orders from the prison guards, would drag the practitioner to the isolation cell where she was cruelly beaten and tortured. Many practitioners suffered a mental collapse due to this mistreatment.

After Pan Lei was appointed as the chief of the labor camp, the work period of the Second Group was doubled. Practitioners were forced to perform labor that was equivalent to that of the Production Group either in terms of working period or workload. They were forced to get up at 6:00 a.m. every day and keep working until 9:00 p.m. In addition, it was routine to work overtime until midnight or later. About two months before the Chinese New Year, practitioners had to work until 2:00, 3:00 or 4:00 a.m.

Overloaded with such a long period of intense labor, many middle-aged or older practitioners could not maintain their health, and their physical conditions deteriorated rapidly.

So many people took up the practice of Falun Gong to improve their health, but when they regained their health through practicing Falun Gong, they were subjected to such inhumane torture by the Chinese Communist Party.
