(Clearwisdom.net) I have practiced Falun Dafa for more than a decade, and Master has protected me every step of the way. That is the only reason I was able to cultivate in Dafa to this day.
Truly Cultivating Myself after Obtaining Dafa
I began Falun Dafa cultivation in 1995. Within less than three months I was cured of chronic kidney disease, heart disease, spinal disc protrusion, gynecological problems and stomach disease. The sickly pallor that made me look much older also disappeared from my countenance and was replaced with a vibrant, rosy glow. I cannot describe the excitement I felt after my body was completely cleansed, and I enjoyed robust health for the first time in a long time.
I did not have a copy of the book Zhuan Falun, so I borrowed Falun Gong from a fellow practitioner and read it three times a day. I completely melded into the Fa. Later, when I got Zhuan Falun, I read and studied it daily and often forgot to eat. I was so happy to be completely immersed in the Buddha Fa.
Master's words were firmly imprinted in my mind, "One's gong level is as high as one's xinxing level." (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun) These words encouraged me to forge ahead.
The incredible wonders of Falun Dafa often manifested during my cultivation. One day, as I manually copied Zhuan Falun at 11:00 p.m., the book suddenly transformed into an ocean with crystal clear, aquamarine waves. The ocean continually changed color, beautiful beyond words. Whenever I read Dafa books, every word changed into small Faluns and shone brilliantly, like diamonds. Master's words are all true. I have experienced many things Master has described in the Fa. As long as we cultivate well, Master is everywhere.
Safeguarding Dafa Is Every Practitioner's Responsibility
The evil began persecuting Dafa on July 20, 1999. The TV, radio and newspapers spread poisonous lies from every corner of the country. The lies attacked Master and Dafa, and severely misled sentient beings. Every true Dafa practitioner faced a serious test. I felt terrible as I saw how brainwashed people were. I recalled how difficult it was for Master to save us, how vicious the lies are, and how people believed the shameless propaganda. Because I remembered that Master guided and protected me all along the path I could no longer sit still. I visited other practitioners. We encouraged each other. With firm belief in Master and Dafa, our group resumed group Fa study sessions one year after the persecution began and have persisted until now.
I bought a computer in June 1999. Although I took a computer class at my workplace, I still didn't have the advanced skills required to produce newsletters and pamphlets. Nevertheless, I decided to use the computer to speak for Dafa. I turned on the computer and managed to download Dafa information after one day. I didn't know how to create flyers, so I stared at the screen and thought, "It'd be great if Master would help me organize this flyer." Then when I tried to do it, a miracle happened--the words automatically went to the place where I wanted them to be. I was so surprised and ecstatic that I cried and made the heshi gesture to thank Master.
From then on I carried flyers wherever I went. When Master published the article "Toward Consummation" (from Essentials for Further Advancement II), my insights let me know why the old forces persecuted us - because we were concealing fundamental attachments.
Master said,
"Despite this, and the situation in which a large number of disciples who are true cultivators are suffering severe hardships, the time of conclusion has been repeatedly postponed so as to wait for those people to recognize their own fundamental attachments. This is because many among them are predestined and have the potential to reach Consummation." ("Towards Consummation" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
When I learned this Fa principle, my doubts disappeared and my determination to cultivate Dafa increased. At the same time I found my fundamental attachment--fear of being hurt, a completely selfish notion.
Over the next few days I felt such compassion and peace in my heart that I haven't felt since July 20, 1999. One night, Master's fashen came to me and looked at me. When Master's fashen had previously come I asked many questions, but this time I didn't say anything, because I already knew everything. I simply said in my heart, "Master, you are so great! You are so great!"
Dispelling the Lies, Saving Sentient Beings and Keeping up with Fa Rectification
Master said,
"So in clarifying the truth, don't wait, don't rely on others, and don't just hope for changes in external factors."
"As long as something is good for Dafa, you should take the initiative to do it, take the initiative to work on it. Every person you come into contact with in society is someone to clarify the truth to, and what's manifest in clarifying the truth is Dafa disciples' mercy and their salvation of the world's people. I hope that every Dafa disciple will fully take initiative and fully play his role as a Dafa disciple." ("To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference," from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
Master's words again encouraged me and helped me realize the weight of my responsibility and the urgency of saving sentient beings.
From then on, the first thing I did after work and dinner was to go to the streets, go into markets and shops to talk to people and tell them about the wonders of Dafa, and how Dafa cured all of my illnesses, and I still speak with people about Dafa face-to-face. Because I have powerful righteous thoughts and my mind is compassionate and calm, people have been exceptionally receptive wherever I go.
The Epoch Times published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in November 2004. I read it several times and learned many things that I didn't previously know. I then knew even more clearly of the crimes committed by the Party against the Chinese people. After I understood this principle, over the span of a few days, a huge chunk of karma and residuals of evil Party elements was also eliminated from my body.
A practitioner visited me one day and told me her grandfather was a veteran Party member and official. Her mother spoke to him many times, but he refused to believe her. Many members of her uncles' and aunts' families have similar attitudes. She asked me to join her and talk to them.
We sent righteous thoughts after we got on the bus and agreed one of us would send righteous thoughts, and the other person would talk the grandfather. When we arrived he listened attentively and said in the end, "Your mother told me about it. Today I truly understand that you are just trying to help me, so I will agree to withdraw from the Party." We asked him when the aunts and uncles would come home and he replied, "No problem, I'll talk to them. If I quit, they'll quit, too." As we were speaking, an uncle came home and also agreed to quit the Party. We didn't expect everything to happen so quickly and smoothly. We were very happy because they were now safe.
We then visited several other households, and more than twenty people announced their withdrawals. Master told us to act with righteous thoughts and righteous actions, because as our righteous thoughts emerge, the evil will certainly collapse.
One of my childhood neighbors now works as a Party secretary. I had always wanted to talk to him but was afraid to do it. One day I ran into him on my way home. He smiled at me, and I thought, "I must help you this time." I smiled and walked over to him. He asked, "Do you still do that?" I thought he was talking about my job, so I said, "No, I'm on my way to have dinner now." He laughed and said, "No, I'm talking about Falun Gong." I said, "I will never give up Falun Gong." He said he read the Nine Commentaries... and many Falun Gong flyers, and thought they were wonderful. He passed them on to others. I asked, "So you understand everything now? Have you quit the Party yet?" He said, "That's what I'm talking about. Can you post an announcement for me?" He also asked to quit the Party on behalf of his wife and child. I didn't expect someone I thought would be difficult to have such a positive attitude. This incident encouraged me greatly. One single thought at the beginning will determine the outcome. Afterwards, I visited many veteran Party officials, and most of them quit the Party.
Master tells us to do the three things well, and one of them is sending righteous thoughts. I think Master has unlocked many supernatural capabilities for each practitioner on the Fa rectification path. We use them to eliminate the evil and protect ourselves. I take sending righteous thoughts very seriously and I do it about ten times each day.
Master tells us to mature as divine beings in the Fa. I remember once while doing the second exercise I suddenly suffered a dizzy spell. I immediately opened my eyes, but it became worse. I called out to Master three times, but nothing happened. I realized the evil was persecuting me because I had attachments. So I recited the Fa rectification verse. The spinning stopped just as abruptly as it had begun, as if a racing car had screeched to a halt.
Master scooped us out of hell and cleansed us. He gave us Fa lectures and endured countless tribulations on our behalf, and He constantly watches over us and takes care of us. We must cultivate better and save more sentient beings.
