(Clearwisdom.net) Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center is a women's center. On the second floor are six big metal cages made from metal fencing. Forty people can be confined in each cage.
At 9 p.m. on April 22, five Falun Gong practitioners were sent there. The first one was tall and large and had a lame left leg. The second one was of average build, but her left eye was bruised and swollen from a beating, and she could barely open it. The third one had been handcuffed so tightly that the cuffs cut into her flesh, leaving very deep scars on her wrist and blood all over the handcuffs. The other two were thin.
On the night of April 21, they had been studying the Fa together and were arrested. They did not cooperate with the police. Instead they shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa. The heavenly laws forbid the persecution of Falun Gong!"
Many nearby residents heard the shouts of the practitioners and came out to take a look. They reprimanded the police for their illegal activities. Openly and without remorse the police beat the practitioners, put handcuffs on them, and dragged them into the police car. For 24 hours the practitioners were hung up by their handcuffs as the police interrogated them; the police were not able to get anything. The five practitioners were sent to the No. 1 Detention Center for fifteen days.
On the second day, the five practitioners ignored their pain and injuries and started to practice the exercises, study the Fa, recite the Fa from memory, and sing Falun Gong songs.
On the third night, all of them started to sing the songs. First, one practitioner recited the lyrics of "Coming for You." Then everyone sang it together. Later they sang "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Be Saved / Dedu," "Lianhua song / Song of the Plum Blossoms," and "SiGuGuo / Thinking of My Homeland." They sang one song after another.
The other detainees in the cages joined in and interacted with the practitioners. Some started clapping in applause, some clapped in time with the songs. They kept saying, "One more song! Encore!"
When they sang "Falun Dafa Is Good," many people stood on their beds and sang along with the practitioners.
The personnel on duty downstairs heard the singing and came up to see what was going on. They reprimanded the detainees and said, "Why are all of you so worked up? You're even standing on your beds."
Yes, the knowing side of these sentient beings understood that they were being offered salvation and were saved. Thus, they celebrated by singing together and were happy for one another.
