(Clearwisdom.net) Asian groups in Nassau County, Long Island, New York celebrated Asian-Pacific Heritage Month in the County Executive & Legislative Office Building on May 26, 2009. The County Executive, government officials, media, Asian groups and local residents attended the activity. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the celebration for the first time.

A Falun Gong practitioner introduces Falun Gong to an interested local resident

The Falun Gong booth was set up in the central lobby of the County Executive & Legislative Office Building. Falun Gong books, exercise tapes and local awards to Falun Gong were displayed at the booth. Many county government employees and local residents received informational fliers. Some asked about how to learn Falun Gong. Some said they would like to learn. A government official said that he would read the Falun Dafa books.

Organizers of the event were happy to see the Falun Gong practitioners participate in the event and indicated that they would like to keep in touch with them.
