(Clearwisdom.net) As Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 World Tour graced the stage at Vancouver's Elizabeth Theatre, Ms. Velazquez, a painter from Mexico now living in North Vancouver had high praise. "It was excellent. I have to say that I loved it. How they dance!" exclaimed Ms. Velazquez.

She shared, "We were talking about the performers, like how they go in symmetric, very exact, precise coordination. We were just blown away."

Ms. Velazquez was impressed by the inner meaning of performance, "It shows you hope from being sad. It can show the best of who you are, don't forget where you are coming from. Everything is excellent. In Mexico we say, you leave with a good taste in your mouth."

Actress Impressed By Shen Yun's Young Dancers

The young dancers of Shen Yun are what impressed Ms. Watters, a Vancouver actress, by their upholding China's true cultural heritage.

"They are not saying, 'Oh we want to do whatever the local dance fad is.' They actually want to honour their past, and to do the best presentation they can to show the rest of the world what their traditions are."

"They want to show the world, this is where I come from. This is my heritage and I am so proud of that," said the actress. "I loved watching it. It is just so informative. There is a lot of folklore, a lot of Chinese folklore and Chinese mythology that I, as a Caucasian, was not aware of. It is a very lovely and beautiful way to introduce me to that."

"Although I don't dance myself, I do appreciate dance. It was wonderful to see the patterns of the dance and to see the stylistic movements of traditional Chinese dance. It is so much different from Western dance, or modern dance," remarked the actress.

Professional Singer: Shen Yun Very Powerful From Beginning to End

Mr. Goble, a lounge entertainer who sings everything from Frank Sinatra to Elvis Presley, was absolutely thrilled that he had seen Shen Yun.

"I thought it was terrific, the whole message, everything was terrific. The quality of the voices, the dancing, everything was wonderful. I really enjoyed the evening," he said. "I am an entertainer. That is why I enjoyed the music," he added.

Mr. Goble's brother, who works at a forensic psychiatric hospital, said he had been wanting to see the show when it had come to Vancouver before. " I finally made it! I enjoyed it very much. I wanted to come for the last couple of years, but finally got to this show. I just enjoyed it all."

Mr. Goble fully appreciated the performance, "The beauty of the whole thing--it was really great, it was really interesting. The music was great. It was very, very entertaining," he said.

"The vocalists were terrific. The quality of the voices, the emotion and everything else was very strong, very lovely, but I had no idea whether that has something to do with Falun Gong, but maybe it does. It kind of makes me want to learn a little more about it. I am going to check into it."

Two pieces in the show depict the on-going persecution of Falun Gong currently taking place in China.

Mr. Goble said, "The fact that it can perhaps--the message might be there, the enlightenment might be there. I heard a little bit about it before; more about the persecution that is happening. I mean it sounds sad. To me it sounded like the message is that there's some enlightenment here. They can lead you to what most people are looking for--I think some sort of enlightenment."

"I mean, all the messages were very strong about being free and everything else. It was a very powerful show right from beginning to end."
