Falun Gong Practitioner Now Living in Sweden Recounts April 25, 1999

Ten years ago on this day, over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners went to the Office of Appeals of the State Council in Beijing to peacefully ask the Chinese government to release dozens of practitioners arrested in Tianjin, to grant Falun Gong practitioners a legal environment to practice, and to allow the publication of Falun Gong books. Then-Premier Zhu Rongji met with representatives of the Falun Gong practitioners and reached a preliminary agreement. This is known as the April 25th Peaceful Appeal.

On the tenth anniversary of the April 25 Appeal, Falun Gong practitioners in Great Britain held a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in London, calling for an end to the persecution by the CCP, and to mourn their fellow practitioners in China who have died from the persecution.
