(Clearwisdom.net) The final European performance by Shen Yun performing Arts on Sunday, April 19, at Amsterdam's RAI Theater was a hit. The audience honored the performers with much applause and a long standing ovation before the last curtain fell. The Shen Yun performers then prepared to leave Europe's shores for their home base.

Mr. van der Werf, a dancer, had purchased a ticket for the final show not knowing what to expect. He said he was "a dancer of classic and American dance" and owned a ballet school near Rotterdam. He said, "It is charming, it is colorful. It is from the soul. I like it very much."

He said he had studied in the Russian school of dance in Kiev, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg. Of the Shen Yun dancers he said, "I truly liked the discipline the dancers displayed. I think the discipline amazed me the most. I like the discipline when you dance in a group, just as this one. This is such a group. And the soul--the expression is connected to the soul--your hands, your eyes, your hands, and again your hands, and your soul. I like it. I like it a lot. It is classic dance. It is different than folk dance. It is so skillfully done."

He was amazed by the entire performance. "Everything was a surprise for me, and the long sleeves ["Flowing Sleeves"] were exceptional. It is so charming. The men are powerful, coming from the outside and mirrored on the outside."

Business Owner: "It was much more than I expected"

Mr. Newman, co-owner and president of a well-known company, came with his Chinese-born wife to see the show. He said, "It was much more than I expected. This show is unique, unusual, and I was very impressed with everything I saw--a kaleidoscope of color and so much energy emanated from the show. I truly loved the colors. And the costumers were fabulous. I was impressed by the backdrop pictures--and then the choreography was also exceptional. I truly enjoyed everything. It was done exceptionally well--very spiritual. It had much depth and was very profound, much more so than we find in the West."

He understood quite well why this show would be banned in China. "The symbolism about ascension. I asked myself how well this, as well as the symbolism of a life after death, would come across under the communist system."

He knew all too well that the Communist regime in China doesn't support a belief in life after death. He commented, "It is in their nature to be against spirituality."

Mr. Newman said that his wife had seen last year's show and now this one, so they definitely won't miss next year's performance. "Next time we'll bring along our daughter, who will be very excited about this."

Studio manager: "This show was so different"

Mr. Kruijff, manager of a fitness studio in Almere

Mr. Kruijff, manager of a fitness studio in Almere, a city close to Amsterdam, was also in the audience.
He was quite impressed by the colors awash on stage, especially the exquisitely colorful costumes, which were "outstanding and very pleasing to the eye," he said. "Spirituality is in my thoughts quite a bit, but I must admit I have had my doubts lately. This was so different. I agree with the message of hope that the show brought to us. Without hope, we wouldn't survive in this world. The artists on stage appear to be very sincere. This is truly a sincere group of people."
