(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts presented one show at Berlin's beloved Friedrichstadtpalast theater on Monday, March 23, 2009.

Mr. Hans Eike von Oppeln-Bronikowski, president of the Friends of Friedrichstadtpalast, attended the opening night's performance along with twenty other members from his Rotary Club. "They were all very impressed!" he said immediately after the show. "As the President of the Friends of the Friedrichstadtpalast, I was especially pleased to have this show with us."

Working closely with the theatre, Mr. von Oppeln-Bronikowski has seen many world class performances, he said, "We have never seen anything like [Shen Yun]. It was unique. The costumes were luxurious and the dancers very graceful. It was fascinating to observe the way they moved. Also, the entire dance company was very impressive."

The show resonated with him on many profound levels. "There was a feeling of the human factor which affects one deeply, and which also has a definite connection with us. Especially the dances in combination [with the backdrops] ... with the unfamiliar landscapes, and the instruments were grand."

Mr. von Oppeln-Bronikowski concluded by reiterating that Shen Yun Performing Arts would forever linger in the minds of those who were fortunate enough to see it. Realizing the fact that Shen Yun cannot be performed in China today, he said, "I don't doubt, if this kind of show would be allowed to be performed in China, it would develop rapidly. No one who sees it, will totally forget something like this!"

Introduced to Authentic Chinese Culture, "Very Beautiful!"

Mr. Kopman, from Russmedia, a Russian newspaper, was among the enchanted audience members. He was quite excited about the show. He especially enjoyed the balance of the performances, the colors, and the dances. "Very beautiful, colorful, emotional, truly I am excited. Very beautiful show!"

During his travels to Taipei, Mr. Kopman already had some contact with Chinese culture, but he had never experienced anything as profound as Shen Yun. He said, "Everything creates, in a manner of speaking, an overall picture. One cannot simply take one piece out of it. The music, the dancing, everything has to match. The costumes, the dances, everything was wonderful. This dance [classical Chinese dance] is indeed difficult, however, it belongs to this culture."

Mrs. Genot, an administrative clerk at a large company in Berlin, was also quite enchanted by Shen Yun. "I thought it was wonderful, really awesome. It is conveyed very well."

"We have never seen anything like this. It is the very first time, and I find it great. All the costumes and the colors, and everything else. Everything was very beautiful! One can only say it is unique. It is truly impressive. I think especially the stories from Tibet and about the persecution, they were also impressive."

Mrs. Genot knew that the performances depicting the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China today would mean that this show would not be allowed to be performed in China. She explained, "This group is from New York and is now performing a world tour. It will not be performed in China, it is not allowed to be performed there due to the persecution."
