(Clearwisdom.net) On January 28, 2009, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jiang Xiqing, from Jiangjin District, Chongqing City, was persecuted to death while he was imprisoned in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp. The case details were exposed at home and abroad. His family members submitted an appeal letter to the National People's Congress, Appeals Office, Police Department, Judicature Bureau, and Procuratorate in Chongqing City. In the relevant departments they addressed, there were many officials with a conscience, and people who expressed deep sympathy and were willing to offer help. However, some officials in high-level management positions ignored the immense amount of grief Mr. Jiang's family members suffered, and continually harassed them and threatened them for appealing the case.

At around 11:00 a.m. on February 26, 2009, Mu Chaoheng, director of the Jiangjin District State Security Division, and Qiu Chunfei, from the Political and Judiciary Committee, incited eight people from Jiangjin District Police Department, Degan Town Police Station and Paifang residents' committee in Degan Town, to search the home of Mr. Jiang Xiqing's daughter, Ms. Jiang Ping. During the process, not one of the police officers showed their ID. Among them, only one wore a police uniform, and all others wore plain clothes. After searching her home, they forcibly took her to the police station, where she was questioned, "Who published Jiang Xiqing's ID card, workplace card, and photos on the Internet? Who published the offense report letter and appeal letter to the Internet? And who broke the blockade to log onto the Internet?" They also said, "Tell your brother and sisters to take your father's ashes and bury them."

When searching Ms. Jiang's home, they stole her cell phone memory card, which has a record of a conversation with the Shijialiang Funeral Home, a negotiation in a hotel, and a discussion about the cremation remains at the

Jiangjin District Local Taxation Bureau. They also seized the material for the offense report and appeal letter. Finally, they threatened her by saying, "Your brother (Mr. Jiang Hongbin) and sister (Ms. Jiang Hong) practiced Falun Gong before and have a 'criminal record' (which means that they were persecuted before for being Falun Gong practitioners). So they may be arrested and detained at any time." She was not released until 5:00 p.m..

At around 1:00 p.m. that same day, police officers from Jijiang Police Station broke into Ms. Jiang Hong's home to harass her. As a result, Ms. Jiang Hong's child could not go to school that afternoon. Later, they went to Mr. Jiang Hongbin's home to harass him.

Mr. Jiang Xiqing's family members have not only withstood the huge grief of losing their father. They are also suffering due to intense pressure from the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) local authorities. They hope that people who value justice at home and abroad are able to provide help in promptly stopping the CCP's persecution.
