(Clearwisdom.net) The curtain fell on the final Divine Performing Arts (DPA) show in Chiayi, Taiwan, on the evening of March 11, 2009. About 7,500 people in Chiayi had the opportunity to see the DPA during its two-day, three-show run and to marvel at the best of classic Chinese culture.

Legislator Mr. Chang Sho-wen took a group of 78 secretaries from seven different towns to the show. Mrs. Chang said she and her husband had seen the DPA show twice before and thought that it had great purifying energy. They reserved 80 tickets as soon as they heard that it was coming to Taiwan for the third time.

President of National Tainan University of the Arts Ms. Huang Tsui-mei said, "It is so great DPA is systematically preserving the classic culture in an age when traditions are being lost. It is very touching that a group of overseas Chinese are doing it. Some programs were simply majestic, others were gentle and beautiful, still others, masculine. There were dances of different ethnic groups. A show such as this is rarely seen!"

Ms. Huang said she was very touched by every program. "Due to globalization and internationalization we have given up the cream of the culture that belongs to us. What is most touching about the DPA show is that overseas Chinese took on the mission to preserve their roots.

Chiayi City Council Member Mr. Tsai Wen-hsu said, "I was very touched by 'Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution," the program about Falun Gong practitioners being steadfast in the face of persecution. It was heartshaking to see people support the main character. The presentation in dance format was perfect."

Mr. Tsai said, "I have been following up with the situation on Falun Gong. It was because of their steadfastness that people stepped forward to support their anti-persecution movement. It is a collective effort. It is great the idea was expressed in dance! Many people were touched." He added, "Human rights is a universal value. If anyone in any place is unfairly treated, others should step up to support him. We, as representatives of the people's will, should support those persecuted. We should express our support with courage and prevent such unfortunate things from happening to others in the future."

Renowned artist Mr. Chen Hsuan-mao said, "It is very exciting! It is a solid promotion of our culture. Our traditions are being lost as the times change. It is a great opportunity to promote our traditional culture! The show had profound cultural meaning. It connected five thousand years of culture. It inspired admiration of our culture and purified our spirit." Mr. Chen praised the superb background and recommended the DPA show to his students.

Mr. Huang Yin-han, Chairman of the Mei Ling Art, Culture and Education Foundation, said, "My first impression is that it depicted a great realm! The music was majestic! Such a show is rarely seen in Taiwan! The dance movements of the DPA artists are divine! They were like deities. It was astounding to watch Buddhas and Gods descend from the background! I felt the great energy! It was deep and mysterious! The show tonight is unforgettable, indeed!"

Mr. Chen Chien-Hsing, contact person of Internationales Musikkonservatorium Graz in Taiwan and Committee Chair of Youth Corp in Beigang Township, Yunlin County, told the reporter, "I was shaken by the show! The great music and dance showed me the origin of the Chinese culture. I am very grateful!"

Mr. Chen said he has seen countless shows around the world, but that the DPA show was the only one that shook people hearts! "The dances I have seen before were not as elegant or as gentle as the DPA dancing. Even the jumps and turns of DPA dancers were gentle and beautiful! The male dancers showed great masculinity. The imposing manner can only be found in the DPA show."
