(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Cao Changling, 77, lived in Qiaokou District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. He was very tall and strong, retired from the army, and was employed as vice director of the Dongfeng Paper Factory. After practicing Falun Gong, he did not have to spend a penny on medical expenses. The news of his death deeply saddened his many friends and colleagues.

At around 9 p.m. on August 8, 2008, the Beijing Olympics began, Mr. Cao left home on his bike, but never returned home. His family went looking for him all over the place. When they passed by Dongfeng Paper Factory, they asked people if any of them had seen him. One lady said she had seen him, but another man stopped her from saying anything more by saying, "Mind your own business."

At 2 p.m. on August 10, 2008, local neighborhood administration chair Lei, notified his family that Mr. Cao was in the Tenth Wuhan City Hospital (also called Puai Hospital). His family rushed to the emergency room. They found him unconscious, he had bruises on his body, and was undergoing intravenous injection.

Mr. Cao Changling

His family asked how he was injured. The doctor said that he had fallen by the roadside from a stroke, and the 110 police (emergency, like 911) had brought him to the hospital. His family read his file and viewed his x-ray photos, they discovered that a bone in his left hand was fractured and that he also had head injuries. His family then discovered that the clothes on his back were torn to pieces like he had been dragged across the ground.

With their knowledge about the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Cao's family was suspicious about the doctor's explanations. They asked to have Mr. Cao transferred to another hospital, but the doctor refused. They were waiting for him to speak after he regained consciousness, but a couple of days later, the doctor cut his throat claiming it was "to make breathing easier." He could not speak with his throat cut open.

At 6 a.m. on August 15, 2008, the doctor pronounced Mr. Cao dead. His family was deeply grieved. But exactly what had happened? His wife remembered that they both had fallen down during the snowy winter of 2007, but none of them were injured. How could her husband suddenly die due to a fall? He was so healthy; he could have lived for at least another ten years!

Mr. Cao's friends and family know the cause of death is questionable. If he fell down because of a stroke, why did the witnesses fear speaking the truth? The bruises on his body showed that he might have been beaten to death, and the witnesses were afraid to point out the killer. Due to the faulty treatment and false information given by the doctors, they are also responsible for his death. Mr. Cao's friends and family truly hope that any witnesses with a conscience will reveal the truth about how he was killed.
