DPA show touches audience

Graduate from Chinese Dance Institute lauds performance

David graduated from the Chongqing Dance Institute in China. He said about the show, "The stage design is very professional, and the dancers' skill level and the difficulty of the moves are very high. Their flipping, jumping and turning are perfectly done."

He continued, "Graduates from the Chinese dance institutes often dance for singers on stage. There is rarely a chance to have Chinese traditional dancing. I admire the DPA performers, who have such a good opportunity."

"As a Chinese, I am proud of DPA's show"

Ms. Peng said that she would recommend it to her friends

Ms. Peng, who has been in the U.S. for one year, said that the DPA show is very nice and real, and that she would recommend it to her friends. She said, "Performances in China are inspected by the government for content before reaching the public. In the U.S., this is an open society with freedom, and that is very good."

She continued, "I am proud of DPA's show. It presents culture of China proper and from other ethnicities. My American friends would like it very much, too."

Undergraduate Students from Guizhou Admire the Elegant Design of the Costumes

Mr. Jin from Guizhou has been in the U.S. for two years. This is his third time to watch the DPA show. He admired the elegant design of the performers' costumes and how the colors were so well-coordinated. His cousin Mr. Lu is from Jiangsu Province and studies in San Francisco. Mr. Lu said, "I like the DPA show very much. I'll come back to watch it again next year."

Mr. Wang from Hunan: I plan to watch it again

Mr. Wang is twenty-seven years old and has just been in the U.S. for three months. He works as a stock broker. He came to watch the show with his aunt and cousin. He said, "The show is very good and traditional. I plan to watch it again in the future."

One of the programs in the show is about how Monk Ji "abducts" a bride. Mr. Wang said, "I did not know this story before. Now in China there is rarely such a program. The art programs on TV are very vulgar, and I seldom watched those things."

Regarding the persecution of Falun Gong in the show, he said, "I did not understand Falun Gong before. But Falun Gong's principles, Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, are right. There is freedom of belief in the U.S. I like that."

Dr. Wang from Shandong: I wish the DPA show could be seen in China

Dr. Wang from Shandong has been in the U.S. for seven years. He said, "In China, people pay attention to material things. People have become greedy and near-sighted, short of spiritual life. The DPA show promotes the spiritual aspect of Chinese traditional culture." After watching the program "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution," Dr. Wang said, "The real gold does not fear that the fire builds up. People should have freedom of belief and keep up their own belief."

Dr. Wang said that the DPA show is very helpful for promoting traditional Chinese culture, "We should pass down the good traditions."

He knows that the DPA show currently cannot be shown in China and said, "I wish the DPA show could be seen in China."
