Guards in Labor Camps and Prisons Receive Hefty Bonuses for Participating in the Persecution
(Clearwisdom.net) In Beijing, the center of the persecution of Falun Gong, the evil Communist Party has used large sums of money to build new prisons and labor camps to hold practitioners. It has also maintained the persecution by paying huge bonuses to guards in order to reward and encourage their continued participation.
In 2007 alone, the Beijing Labor Camp Management Bureau paid an 8000 yuan bonus to each office employee and guard. In addition, all guards, staff members, and retired guards received a 4000 yuan holiday bonus (i.e., 1000 yuan every New Year, Chinese New Year, May 1, and October 1). This practice has been in place for several years now. Each guard in the Beijing prison/labor camp system received a 12,000 yuan bonus in 2007.
During the 2008 Chinese New Year, the Beijing Women's Prison spent more than 100,000 yuan on fireworks. This huge sum came not only from central government funding, but also from practitioners' slave labor. It is quite possible that it included profit from live organ harvesting.
