(Clearwisdom.net) On May 20, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Munich to support the twenty-two million people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The event attracted a great number of spectators, including quite a few tourists from China. Some wanted to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations on the spot.

Learning the facts of the persecution

On the weekend, Marienplatz in Munich was packed with shoppers and tourists as usual. As the Sound of Hope radio station broadcast of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, as well as the "Solemn Declaration of the Epoch Times" resounded across the square, spectators were attracted to the stand even though most did not understand Chinese. They carefully read the exhibits that exposed the CCP's persecution of Chinese people through various political movements. After hearing practitioners' briefing in German about the CCP atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, many Germans walked up to the stand in shock, indignation or disbelief to sign the petition to condemn the CCP's brutality. The petition also called for rescuing Wang Xiao Yan, the wife of German practitioner Zhang Zhen Tong. Because she practices Falun Gong, Ms. Wang was illegally sentenced to a labor camp.

During the course of the event, numerous Chinese tourists watched on with curiosity. Many accepted materials such as copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Some engaged in long conversations with practitioners in front of the stand. Two renounced the CCP and the Communist Youth League on the spot.

A college student studying dentistry signed the petition. She told the reporter she had been to China. In Hong Kong, she received similar truth-clarification materials from which she learned about the CCP's organ trade and its persecution of Falun Gong. Feeling that she had to do something, she signed the petition to protest the persecution. She said, "In my opinion, the CCP ruined something systematically. Communism destroyed the roots of the Chinese people, who have to suffer a lot of pain in their hearts. I hope Chinese people can find their roots and gain more freedom."
