(Clearwisdom.net) On December 18, the Chinese Consulate sent a letter to Michael Benjamin, an assemblyman from the Bronx, New York, pressuring him not to go to the Holiday Wonders show. The letter prominently mentioned the "rapid progress" of U.S.-China relations, the strengthening of U.S.-China trade, and "sincere gratitude" for efforts in promoting U.S.-China friendship and cooperation, before asking that support not be given to the Holiday Wonders or the Chinese New Year Spectacular. The letter also uses the extreme and slanderous language typical of Chinese regime propaganda in describing NTDTV, the Holiday Wonders, and the Chinese New Year Spectacular.

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 18, 2007, after traveling for three months through Europe and Australia, the Human Rights Torch reached "The Land of the Long White Cloud" -- New Zealand. Representatives from the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG), the Taiwanese, Burmese, Sudanese, Indonesian, and Tibetan communities, Falun Dafa practitioners, Chinese Democracy activists, and Greens and Labor Party members gathered in Auckland for a ceremony and rally to kick off the New Zealand leg of the global relay.

Australia: Rally in Sydney Supports 30 Million People Quitting the CCP and Its Affiliated Organizations (Photos)
