(Clearwisdom.net) World media have drawn attention to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) atrocities, harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit and cremating the murdered bodies to destroy the evidence. On August 1, 2006, Taiwan's United Daily carried a report entitled, "Falun Gong Persecuted, Taiwan Organizes An Investigation Team." Many people who read the news were surprised and condemned the CCP's atrocities.

The report said that Falun Gong practitioners in Chiayi Area in Taiwan pointed out that at least 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been locked up in a secret concentration camp in Northeast China, and their organs have been harvested. The practitioners called on people to join in the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" (CIPFG) to go to mainland China to conduct an independent investigation into the true situation of the persecution. The practitioners also expressed that many international personnel have joined the CIPFG, including some physicians in Taiwan. They will go to the mainland to investigate. As the mainland is still in an autocratic system, prior to the trip to the mainland, there will be lectures teaching investigators how to protect their own safety.

The newspaper also interviewed Dr. Huang Hsi-wei from Chiayi County. He expressed that the Liaoning Provincial Thrombus Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine near this secret concentration camp [the concentration camp--Sujiatun Concentration Camp has been secretly cleaned up and transferred] has become an organ bank for organ transplants. A witness who used to be a staff member in this hospital testified that the hospital is one of the facilities where Falun Gong practitioners have their organs harvested. Another military doctor said there are more than 36 similar facilities in mainland China.

Dr. Huang Hsi-wei explained that an independent investigation team composed of former Canadian Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific David Kilgour and renowned human rights lawyer David Matas released their investigative report on organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners in China on July 6, and confirmed the CCP's inhuman and brutal atrocities.

Falun Gong practitioners in Chiayi realized the urgency of rescuing people, and persistently clarified the facts to councilors, lawyers, media reporters and other local people. Chiayi county council passed a resolution on May 4, condemning the CCP's atrocities and calling on the international community to help stop the persecution. In the past three months, seven county councils including Ilan County, Keelung City, Hualien County, Tainan City, Yunlin County and Pingtung County have passed resolutions to condemn the CCP's live organ harvesting. Other county and city councils are in the process of adopting a joint resolution.

Dr. Huang urgently appealed: at least several hundred thousand Falun Gong practitioners are being imprisoned in mainland China, and their lives are at stake. Government officials, human rights lawyers, and scholars from Hong Kong, North America, Australia and Europe, even lawyers from the mainland China have requested to join the investigation team to go to the mainland China to investigate into this crime. Recently, world media have shown continuous attention to this matter. Falun Gong practitioners believe that more and more righteous people will come out boldly to participate in the investigation of the CCP's live organ harvesting.
