Indonesia: Police Once Again Forcefully Disperse Practitioners' Peaceful Appeal (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 6, 2005, Indonesian Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy and called on the Chinese Communist Party to stop the persecution of Falun Gong. Police forcefully dispersed the practitioners, carried away six practitioners to a police vehicle and took them to the police station. This was the third time since April 23, 2005 that Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful appeals were violently disrupted by the police. The police's actions violate Indonesian law and damage Indonesia's image as a democratic country.

Two Detained Falun Dafa Practitioners in Singapore Have Been Released, Press Conference Calls for Fair Treatment of Falun Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of May 3, 2005, two Falun Dafa practitioners, Ms. Cheng Lujin and Ms. Ng Chye Huay were released after seven days in detention. They were on a hunger strike seven days and four days respectively while in detention, to protest their unfair sentencing by the Singapore Court. On the afternoon of May 4, 2005, the two practitioners held a press conference together with the Singapore Falun Dafa Association and explained their reasons behind the hunger strike, discussed personal accounts of their time in jail, how they were released and their future plans. They called on the local media to treat Falun Gong fairly and said they will continue to appeal their case.

Spain: Practitioners Hold Activities to Commemorate the April 25 Peaceful Appeal (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25th, Spanish Falun Gong practitioners held a photo exhibition at Zocodover Square in Toledo's city center to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the "April 25" peaceful appeal. Toledo, which used to be the capital of Spain, is a famous tourist site. Zocodover Square is in the city center and is a must-see attraction for tourists. Practitioners held a photo exhibition, demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and handed out informational leaflets. They demonstrated the peace and beauty of Falun Gong, clarified the truth of Falun Dafa and the persecution suffered by practitioners in China, and called on the public to help stop this persecution.
