The CCP Intensifies Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Chongqing during the Fifth Asia-Pacific Cities Summit

Summit was to be held in Chongqing, China, the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) "cracked down" on people who might have protested
during the event.
Mengyin County Local 610 Office Details How They Persecuted Falun Gong
(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, in order to claim credit from
higher authorities in persecuting Falun Gong, Mengyin County Party
Committee published a report entitled, "Work Report of the 610
Office of Mengyin County Chinese Communist Party Committee" to
highlight their "achievement" in persecuting Falun Gong. The
report, printed in color, summarized how Falun Gong has been
persecuted since July 20, 1999, and how much money was spent to
"transform" and brainwash
practitioners. The report contains three parts: prologue, details
about Falun Gong, and work in progress.
A Devoted Daughter Protects Her Father But Is Sentenced to Two Years in a Forced Labor Camp
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 25, 2005, the police suddenly
broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Guangyou, a
villager living in Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province. The police
illegally ransacked the home and found Falun Gong books. In order
to protect her father, his daughter Ms. Liu Yue claimed that the
books were hers. As a result, the police "arrested" Ms. Liu Yue.
Although the police knew very well that Ms. Liu did not practice
Falun Gong, they illegally arrested her
and then tried to extort a large sum of money from her family. When
they realized that her family was unable to pay the ransom, they
arbitrarily sentenced Ms. Liu to two years in Jiamusi Forced Labor
Camp in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. The police also
abducted her father. Ms. Liu's little brother is now left at home
alone without any adult supervision. He has been forced to drop out
of school.
