Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhao Dewen from Tianjin City Dies from Persecution in Forced Labor Camp

Fifty-year-old Ms. Zhao Dewen is a resident of Beichen District in Tianjin City. She was illegally detained in the No.5 Brigade of Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp, Dagang, Tianjin City because she practiced Falun Gong. Early in 2003, she died from persecution in the camp.

(Clearwisdom.net) The prison police officer didn't allow steadfast Falun Dafa practitioner He Hua (pseudonym) to go to sleep for quite a long time in the Number Three Team of Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. She was locked in a dark room (the window of the door was covered with a thick layer of newspapers) and cruelly tortured by a collaborator [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] and a drug-addict. At noon one day, a scream suddenly came from the dark room when the collaborator Zhang kicked He Hua's ribs of so hard that she couldn't bear it. The sudden scream scared a weak practitioner, Ms. Qi, such that she had a mental breakdown and had to be taken to the hospital. The prison police officer asked He Hua's mother to pay for Ms. Qi's hospitalization (the prison police Jiao Xuexian announced the result in the meeting) instead of punishing the beater (Zhang was transferred outside to assist the police in the afternoon of that same day).

Liaoning Province, Panjin City Dafa disciple Meng Jian is an English teacher at the Liaohe Oil Field Experimental Middle School, Senior High Division. Because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong twice, in October and December of 1999, he was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. On December 5, 2002, he was again illegally arrested, and his home was searched by policemen from the Panjin City Xinglongtai District Police Station. He was detained in the Taian County Labor Camp, and then in the Panshan County Labor Camp. After he protested by holding a hunger strike, he escaped with righteous thoughts in April of 2002, but to avoid further persecution, he was forced to leave his hometown and wander around to find other places to stay.
