Female Practitioner Wang Xiufang Dies as a Result of Force-Feeding by Police in Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Wang Xiufang, female, 36 years old, was an English Language teacher at Jilin Province Specialized Agriculture College. Wang lived in Zuojia District of Jilin Province. She was kidnapped on December 21, 2001 while distributing Falun Gong materials at Tumenling Township, Jiutai City. She was then detained at Jiutai Detention Center, where she began a hunger strike. On January 1, 2002, she died as a result of force-feeding by the police.

Jilin City Dafa Disciple Fu Chunsheng Is Tortured to Death by Local Police

Fu Chunsheng, an employee of the Hydro-Engineering Machinery Plant in Jilin City, had been illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor "re-education" for going to Beijing to safeguard Falun Dafa. On December 12, 1999, he was abducted and detained in Huanxiling Labor Camp in Jilin City. Later, in order to destroy his steadfast faith in Falun Dafa, he was transferred to Yinmahe Labor Camp in the Jiutai area. He was eventually released unconditionally on September 12 of 2001, at which time he immediately rejoined the stream of Fa-rectification. At a mass arrest on December 28 2001, police broke into his house and confiscated a lot of Falun Dafa books, including Teacher's pictures etc., and arrested him. On January 1, 2002, police informed his family of his death, but they didn't let his family see the body until January 5. Detailed information is still unavailable.

According to Central News Agency reporter Zou Mingzhi's report "The World in 2002," dated January 2^nd and published by the French International Communication Magazine in Paris, Taiwan's President Chen Shuibian, who values human rights, emphasized the fundamental value of human rights and freedom in his article "Lessons about Democracy." Referring to the Chinese Government's brutal treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, Taiwan's President criticized the Chinese Government's conduct, saying it revealed the nature of a dictatorship.
