People Learn About Falun Dafa at the Kumeu Show in New Zealand

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the 103rd Kumeu Show in Auckland, New Zealand on March 14-15, 2026. Many people from Auckland and the surrounding areas attended the event.

The Kumeu Show is one of the community’s historical events. The two-day event brings together a rich array of attractions, including amusement rides, stage performances, farm animal displays, specialty foods, and various competitions, allowing attendees to enjoy traditional rural culture and community activities in a relaxed and lively atmosphere.

Practitioners set up a booth and introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) to the public. Their exercise demonstration drew many visitors to watch, and some people learned the exercises on the spot. One man said he felt energy when he did the exercises.

Visitors Learn About Falun Dafa

After Sharda tried the exercises she said, “This is completely new for us. We feel peaceful and relaxed.”

She said that modern life was fast-paced and that pressure from work and life makes one feel stressful. She feels that meditation is beneficial for one’s mind and body. “We have a busy life. Such activity can let one pause and slow down.”

She added, “Sometimes when I meditate I feel sleepy. But this practice lets me focus.”

She said she wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa and was interested in taking a class. Her husband Craig said he was also interested in the practice.

Appreciating Practitioners Who Bring Justice and Hope

Paul encouraged practitioners to keep raising awareness.

Paul, from the Community Patrol, commended the practitioners for their perseverance in introducing the practice and raising awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

“What you are doing is very good. Standing up like you do, to let people know the real situation is important,” Paul said.

“Communism has never succeeded anywhere in the world because it is a cruel and corrupt system,” he said. “On the surface, everyone is said to be equal, yet in reality, those at the top enjoy all the benefits, while those at the bottom suffer.

“You have been striving to tell the world what is happening. This is a deeply meaningful endeavor. There is a need for people to step forward, uphold justice, and convey the truth.”

Paul also said he was worried about the CCP’s infiltration. He gave an example that some cars made in China were banned from entering military bases and governmental agencies in the UK because it was discovered that the vehicles’ communication systems transmitted information to China.

He encouraged practitioners, “Please continue your efforts—no matter where in the world you practice Falun Dafa, and especially in New Zealand. You must persevere, for we need people to constantly remind others of the truth.

“This is not just for our generation. Our generation has already lived out its life, but I have children and grandchildren—aged three, nine, and twelve. I want them to live in a better world, not a worse one.”

Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is Great

Craig Walker, a purchasing manager, agrees with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and said, “I’m sympathetic and I like kindness and tolerance. I think the principles are great values that everyone should follow.

“Now the world is changing fast. The values are different. The principles that Falun Gong promotes benefit society. We need more values like this.”

He was shocked upon hearing about the CCP’s persecution, “In China, many innocent people are persecuted. It’s terrible. The CCP regime is a dictatorship. Communism is a tyranny and brings persecution. I hope that one day, there will be democracy in China.”

He encouraged the practitioners, “Please continue doing what you do. It’s important.”
