(Minghui.org) A 58-year-old woman who had been on probation was taken into custody on January 26, 2026. She is scheduled to be admitted to prison soon for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Yuan Cuifeng, of Zibo City, Shandong Province, was arrested at home on September 14, 2023, by more than ten officers from the Zichuan District Domestic Security Office. They confiscated numerous Falun Gong informational materials and 7,000 yuan paper currancy bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong. Both Ms. Yuan and her daughter were taken to the local police station for interrogation. Her daughter was released that afternoon, and Ms. Yuan was transferred to the Zibo City Detention Center the next day.

The police later submitted Ms. Yuan’s case to the Zichuan District Procuratorate, resulting in her indictment. She appeared in the Zichuan District Court on January 26, 2024, and was sentenced to a three-year prison term with three years of probation. She was released on February 6, 2024.

Ms. Yuan was arrested again in late 2025 after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was detained for a week. The authorities accused her of violating her probation terms and ordered her to serve the three-year prison sentence. She was taken to the Zibo City Detention Center on January 26, 2026, and is facing an upcoming transfer to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison.
