(Minghui.org) A 48-year-old woman in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province was sentenced to four years for her faith in Falun Gong, Minghui.org learned recently.
Ms. Feng Yunjuan, born in August 1977, was arrested on April 16, 2025, by plainclothes officers who followed her home. Her family was not notified of her indictment, trial, or sentencing. They later hired a lawyer, and the lawyer learned of her wrongful conviction when he visited her recently. She is currently serving time at the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison.
Past Persecution
Ms. Feng underwent major surgery to treat her uterine cancer. After she took up Falun Gong, she made a full recovery. Her daughter was diagnosed with sepsis at the age of 8. When no medical treatments worked, Ms. Feng taught her daughter to practice Falun Gong. The little girl healed completely. Their family and friends were amazed by the miracle.
After the communist regime launched a nationwide campaign against Falun Gong in July 1999, Ms. Feng held firm to her faith and was arrested on July 12, 2022, during a police sweep that netted over 100 other Falun Gong practitioners.
Officer Hu and ten other agents from the Lindian District Police Department also raided Ms. Feng’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and portrait of Falun Gong’s founder. Her son went to the police department at 7 a.m. the next morning and Hu said that Ms. Feng had been sent to the Daqing City Detention Center four hours ago.
Ms. Feng was later sentenced to 11 months. She was released in July 2023, only to be arrested again in April 2025 and given another four years.
