(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, and Kumamoto held a series of activities before Chinese New Year (February 17, 2026), including distributing informational materials and protesting the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution in front of the Chinese Consulates.

Practitioners in Nagoya handed out informational materials in the bustling Sakae district of Nagoya on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The recent introduction of 18-meter articulated buses in the city drew large crowds, so many people saw the practitioners’ banners.Practitioners went to the Chinese Consulate in Nagoya that evening to protest the CCP’s 27-year-long persecution.

Practitioners held an event in the Sakae district of Nagoya on Sunday, February 15, 2026, to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

When a man in his 70s read the banner: “Stop Forced Organ Harvesting from Falun Gong Practitioners” during the event in the Sakae district of Nagoya on Sunday, he asked a practitioner for more information and said he knew wealthy people in China were able to get organ transplants. When the practitioner explained that the CCP was involved in organ trafficking the man was shocked and said he would read the flyer.

A passer-by was touched when he learned that the practitioners were volunteers. He encouraged them to keep up their efforts. A family of four stopped and read the banner and accepted flyers.

After completing their activities in Sakae, practitioners held a protest in front of the Chinese Consulate General in Nagoya. The displayed banners in Chinese, English, and Japanese. They also held a candlelight vigil to commemorate practitioners in China who died as a result of the CCP’s persecution.On New Year’s Eve, February 16, 2026, practitioners in Kumamoto held a similar protest in front of the Chinese Consulate in Fukuoka. They called on the international community to pay attention to the ongoing 27-year persecution and to take action to help end it.

The practitioners lined up along the sidewalk and held banners and display boards facing the consulate. The event was peaceful and orderly. Practitioners wished to tell the public about the persecution.

Practitioners in Sapporo, which is located in Japan’s northernmost region of Hokkaido, gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate on February 16. They displayed a banner: “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong” and called for an end to the ongoing human rights abuses in China.

A practitioner said that every Lunar New Year’s eve practitioners in Japan hold events to raise awareness of the persecution. They call on people around the world to learn about and condemn the persecution and help bring it to an end.
