A Raging Fire Was Miraculously Extinguished

(Minghui.org) My eldest sister’s daughter, Xiaoling, once came to visit. And as soon as she entered, she exclaimed, “Auntie, the day before yesterday, my brother went to visit his mother-in-law’s grave and set the mountain on fire! It almost caused a major disaster, but Dafa’s Master put out the fire. Falun Dafa is truly miraculous!” She then proceeded to tell me the whole story.

On April 3, Xiaoling, her brother Xiaojia, and his wife went back to their hometown to visit their father’s grave. Xiaojia and his wife went to a nearby mountain to visit his mother-in-law’s grave, who had passed away many years ago. Because no one had been there for several years, the area around the grave was covered with dry weeds and grass. However, neither Xiaojia nor his wife thought to clear the area first. They simply placed paper offerings on the grass in front of the grave and lit them.

The paper and grass immediately caught fire. Xiaojia grabbed a branch and tried to put out the flames. But a strong wind suddenly blew, and the fire, fueled by the wind, shot up more than three feet high and spread rapidly in all directions. They took off their jackets and tried to beat out the flames, but it was no use.

Watching the fire intensify and spread rapidly uphill, they realized the dense pine forest about a hundred meters away was in imminent danger. A pile of pine branches belonging to a villager near the grave had also caught fire. When Xiaojia saw that the fire was completely out of control, he calmed down and began repeatedly reciting “Falun Dafa is good,” and asked Dafa’s Master for help. He then called out to Xiaoling, asking her to find someone to help put out the fire.

Xiaoling was startled, but immediately thought of Falun Dafa. Because Xiaoling’s mother, my eldest sister, and I have been Dafa practitioners for many years, we have often told miraculous stories of people receiving blessings by believing in Dafa. Moreover, in recent years, they have personally witnessed miracles occurring in my eldest sister’s life due to practicing Falun Dafa.

While joining in to recite “Falun Dafa is good” and asking Master for help, Xiaoling went to find her sister-in-law’s father, and they ran up the mountain.

The villagers living at the foot of the mountain, including the village official, had seen the fire, and more than 30 people went to help. However, faced with flames over 10 feet high and choking with black smoke, they were helpless. Even the village official said, “Don’t go any closer. Personal safety is paramount. It’s better to let the forest burn than to have anyone die. We can only call the superiors and ask them to send a helicopter to fight the fire.”

As Xiaoling and her brother were both silently reciting “Falun Dafa is good,” they noticed that not only had the wind stopped, but the flames had subsided enough to allow people to go forward and extinguish the brush fire. They found that the burnt area was neatly demarcated like a line, only about three feet away from the dense pine forest. After extinguishing the fire and returning home, everyone noticed that a strong wind started blowing again and continued late into the night.

Thinking back on the incident, Xiaoling became increasingly anxious. She said to Xiaojia, “We’re so lucky to have Master’s protection; otherwise, we would have been finished!”

Xiaojia told Xiaoling that he was so grateful to Master! Xiaoling said, “When you get home, quickly offer incense to Master to thank him!”

Xiaojia agreed and exclaimed, “Master is so compassionate, and Dafa is so wonderful! Actually, for the past few years, whenever I’ve encountered something bad, I’ve recited ‘Falun Dafa is good,’ and gotten used to it. As long as I recite these words, even the worst things will turn for the better. Falun Dafa is truly miraculous!”

After listening to Xiaoling’s story, I smiled and said, “This is the blessing you receive for believing in the goodness of Dafa!”
