(Minghui.org) Japanese Falun Gong practitioners met in Kudanshita in Tokyo on New Year’s Day 2026, to talk to people who were attending Hatsumōde (the Japanese New Year prayer ritual) about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, and to call on all sectors of society to help stop the persecution.
Many people accepted the fliers, sincerely encouraged the practitioners, and said they hoped the persecution would end soon.
Practitioners distributed fliers and clarified the truth to people in Kudanshita.
I Hope Your Voices Are Heard Throughout Japan
Mr. Yoshikawa
While talking to a practitioner about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) forced organ harvesting from imprisoned practitioners, Mr. Yoshikawa said that those who do the right thing will surely receive help. “The CCP is committing evil acts to protect its self-interests and prolong the lives of its top leaders, and the Party does not exist for the sake of the people. I believe that justice will prevail, so please persevere!” Mr. Yoshikawa said.

After signing a petition to stop the forced organ harvesting, Mr. Nitta said, “I really want to lend a helping hand. Japan must also make an effort, and the government should provide support at the official level.”
He added, “I support you from the bottom of my heart.”
Ms. Ishikawa
Ms. Ishikawa had learned through social media about the persecution of Falun Gong ordered by Jiang Zemin in 1999, and the forced organ harvesting. She expressed her outrage: “I never imagined that such things could happen in this world, but it’s not surprising that it is happening in that country [China].” She also expressed a sense of urgency: “If this is not stopped, the Japanese people will be next. If the world doesn’t act together, morality will be completely destroyed.”
Ms. Ishikawa displays books that contain information about the persecution and live organ harvesting in her shop, and she shares this information with customers and friends. She said, “I hope all Falun Gong practitioners have the strength to persevere. What the Chinese Communist Party is doing is simply beyond words.”
Ms. Hosoe
Ms. Hosoe pointed out, “Many Japanese people may not have a specific understanding when they hear the term ‘Falun Gong.’ But I believe that as long as we can clearly explain the specific details to people, such as the facts about the persecution and the meaning of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, they will surely understand.” She also emphasized the importance of consistently raising awareness of Falun Gong and the persecution with the public.

Mr. Suzuki said that he had heard about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and the atrocities of forced organ harvesting, “This is something no human being should do.” He also expressed his concern for the safety of practitioners in China: “I hope their situation will improve. While their unwavering faith is admirable, I hope those practitioners who are risking their lives to uphold their belief will prioritize their personal safety and cherish their lives.”

Mr. Shimoju said, “We hope your voices will be heard throughout Japan.”
Ms. Nakamura
Ms. Nakamura said, “In China, this persecution has claimed countless lives. For the sake of the numerous victims, we hope these issues can be resolved as soon as possible. We sincerely hope they can attain true freedom.”
Mr. Mishima signed the petition
Mr. Mishima said, “Organ harvesting in China is not even so-called organ donation at all; it is purely a commercial profit-making activity. This kind of behavior is extremely wicked.”
He added, “Using state power to suppress religious beliefs is wrong. Society should allow the existence of various doctrines, and spreading things that are beneficial to others is by no means a bad thing. Politics should not interfere in this.”

Ms. Osafune, who learned about Falun Gong when she attended a Shen Yun performance in Japan, expressed her outrage upon hearing about the persecution, “The practitioners were simply practicing their exercises, yet they were arrested and imprisoned in labor camps and tortured beyond recognition. This is simply too cruel.”
She encouraged practitioners in China, “Although the situation is difficult, please persevere in your faith and never compromise with the CCP. You must keep persevering!”
