(Minghui.org) From November 29 to December 21, 2025, practitioners held events on weekends in the cities of Nitra and Bratislava to tell people about the human rights violations related to the persecution of Falun Gong, (Falun Dafa) in China.
During the holiday season, many people are sensitive to charitable causes, and the issue of human rights abuses happening in China evoked sympathy in passersby. Many people signed a petition to help stop the 26-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) forced organ harvesting from living practitioners who refuse to renounce their faith.
Those who signed the petition mentioned various reasons for doing so, including their aversion to the “barbaric” nature of the crime and their admiration for practitioners’ righteousness in upholding their belief in Falun Dafa’s principles: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

On November 29, 2025, Falun Dafa practitioners in Nitra collected signatures on a petition urging Beijing to end the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.
The events in Nitra were held on Štefánikova Street in the pedestrian zone on the afternoons of Saturday, November 29, December 6, and December 13. In Bratislava, the events were held on Panská Street on the afternoons of Sunday, December 7, December 14, and December 21.

Falun Dafa practitioners told people about the brutal persecution in China and collected signatures on a petition during the event in Bratislava on December 21, 2025.
“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Are Important Principles”
Janka who lives in Bratislava, condemned the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and said it was immoral. “I don’t agree with killing people for their organs--it’s barbaric. It’s very, very evil,” she said.
She is a fan of meditation and took a leaflet with contact details so she could learn about Falun Gong. She added: “Truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance are important principles that people should follow. Especially compassion, so that people do not kill others [for their organs].”
Abdit, an electrical engineer from India, said he signed the petition with his friend to help people who are persecuted by the CCP.
An older man in Bratislava who signed the petition saw a parallel between people persecuted by the communist regime in China and other groups of people in the past, such as the Jews. Coincidentally a Jewish community was previously located near the site of the practitioners’ event, at the former Vydrica Gate in Bratislava, which is also commemorated by a memorial.
Broader Awareness of Persecution Among Slovakians
Some people talked with practitioners because they previously heard about the persecution and wanted to help.
Anežka Vemková, a psychologist who stopped at the booth in Bratislava, decided to add her signature to the petition. She learned about the persecution from her brother-in-law. She said, “Meditation is close to my heart, and I think it is important that people’s freedom is not restricted.” She added, “The values of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance are very beneficial to society.”
Andrej from Partizánske and his girlfriend came to visit the Christmas markets in Nitra. Andrej knew about the persecution of Falun Gong from social media. When he learned more about Falun Gong at the site, he decided to sign the petition, and his girlfriend joined him, saying, “I want to sign the petition too!”
Students Take a Stand for Practitioners’ Human Rights
Among the petition’s supporters were many young students, who expressed a strong sense of righteousness.
Alex Gabura, a student from the Czech Republic, decided to sign the petition and said, “I believe that the most important thing is equality for all people...I don’t like it when those in powerful positions hurt people.” Before he left, he said, “Today, society lacks almost all moral values, so values such as truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance could help us as a society infinitely.”
A group of students from Macedonia also stopped at the event in Bratislava. They asked what it was about, and more than 10 of them decided to add their signatures to the petition.
