(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Chongqing] Mr. Li Chunyuan Faces Trial

1. [Chongqing] Mr. Li Chunyuan Faces Trial
Mr. Li Chunyuan was indicted by the Jiangbei District Procuratorate in mid-November 2025. Her case has been registered with the Jiangbei District Court.
Mr. Li was arrested by Taohua Police Station officers on July 21, 2025, together with another practitioner, Mr. Yang Dingchan, when they were visiting Ms. Chen Xiaoli in a hospital. They were taken to the Changshou District Police Department. While Mr. Yang was released on bail on August 21, Mr. Li was formally arrested.
2. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Han Jinhua Deprived of Family Visits
Ms. Han Jinhua, of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, was sentenced to three years and four months by a court in Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, in mid-July 2025. She was admitted to the Shaanxi Province Women’s Prison at the end of November 2025. Her son went to the prison to visit her on December 14. His request was denied, and he was threatened.
3. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Jianjun’ Parents Harassed
Mr. Lu Jianjun was harassed by Huanghelu Police Station officers on December 12, 2025. On the same day, his parents, who live in Shikou Town in the suburb of Dongying, were also harassed by their local police. The officers also took pictures of Mr. Lu’s elderly, bedridden father.
4. [Linyi County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuju Sentenced
Ms. Wang Xiuju was reported in the first half of 2023 for distributing Falun Gong flyers. Officers of the Linyi County Domestic Security Division ransacked her home and later submitted her case to the Linyi County Procuratorate. The Linyi County Court sentenced her to six months with one-year probation and a 5,000-yuan fine in July 2024.
5. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Defeng Detained
Ms. Sun Defeng was arrested at work on December 4, 2025, by more than 10 officers from Shengzhuang Police Station. She was handcuffed and taken back home. The officers ransacked the place and seized a box of Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, radio, Falun Gong printouts, and other items. Her husband was also arrested and released later that night.
Ms. Sun was subjected to two weeks of detention. When her family went to pick her up after two weeks, the police told the family that she had been transferred to Hedong Detention Center. They threatened to sentence her, because she refused to renounce Falun Gong.
6. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fu Wenquan Detained and Abused
Mr. Fu Wenquan was arrested on October 15, 2025. Officers from the Qingyuan County Domestic Security Division and the Caoshi Town Police Station beat him. His nose bridge was broken, and bleeding badly. He also could not lift his arms, and had pain in his chest and back.
The police accused Mr. Fu of uploading short videos about Falun Gong to Kuaishou, an online social network in China. They took him to the Qingyuan Detention Center on October 30 for criminal detention. His lawyer has visited him.
The Qingyuan County Domestic Security officers brought him home on December 18. They closed the door and kept his wife outside. She suspected that they were trying to fabricate evidence to frame him.
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Caiming Detained
Ms. Li Caiming was arrested by the Huanghe Police Station officers on December 11, 2025. Her car and motorcycle were confiscated. She is being held in the Shenyang City First Detention Center.
8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yuxiu Detained
Ms. Wang Yuxiu was arrested on December 19, 2025, by officers from the Jinmenlu Police Station, the Qingdao Police Department, and the Shinan Police Department. She was held for 10 days in the Pudong Lockup. She was on a hunger strike throughout the entire detention.
Ms. Wang’s husband was arrested around the same time, and held in the Shinan Police Department’s Law Enforcement Case Center. He was released on the early morning of December 20.
