(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the nine-day Pune Book Festival at Fergusson College, Pune, Maharashtra from December 13 to 21, 2025, an event organized by National Book Trust, India (NBT), a division under the India Ministry of Education. The book fair attracted over 1.2 million visitors, with young people accounting for over 60% of the attendees. Many prominent figures said they felt the peace and positive energy of Falun Dafa.

Visitors Interested in Learning the Falun Dafa Exercises
Practitioners displayed Falun Dafa books such as Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong, and some works of art from the Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren International Exhibition. Numerous book lovers and professionals from schools, colleges, the medical community, professional groups, spiritual groups, and political circles, stopped at the Falun Dafa booth to learn more. Many were impressed when they were told that Falun Dafa is taught free of charge by volunteers worldwide. A large number of visitors expressed great interest in the online volunteer-led classes in India and purchased Falun Dafa books in English, Hindi, and Marathi.

Artists Moved by Pieces from the Art of Zhen Shan Ren International Exhibition

Artist Dr. Gurugovind Ambre, a painter and sculptor, visited the Falun Dafa booth and had a long conversation with practitioners. He said he was very interested in learning more about Falun Dafa and was impressed by the artworks from the Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren International Exhibition. These works, created by Falun Dafa practitioner artists from around the world, aim to showcase the beauty of Falun Dafa and the real-life experiences of practitioners who are persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Ambre said that he felt an extraordinary sense of peace and positive energy at the Falun Dafa booth despite the crowded and noisy atmosphere in the exhibition hall. He said he would continue to learn more about Falun Dafa and stay in touch with practitioners. He said his overall impression of Falun Dafa was: “Peaceful.”

A young photographer said that the paintings were incredibly moving and lifelike, and being in the exhibition booth gave him a sense of inner peace. After learning about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, he was deeply moved and expressed a strong desire to learn more about this practice.
Book Fair Organizer and Sponsors Meet with Practitioners

Prof. Milind Marathe, Chairman of National Book Trust, spoke with practitioners at the Falun Dafa booth. He had previously met them at the 2024 book fair. The practitioners presented him with a copy of Falun Gong and expressed their hope that he would add it to the National Book Trust (NBT) library for staff to read. He said he would definitely share the book with all the staff.
This event also featured several cultural activities, including a literary festival, which attracted many prominent figures. Practitioners used this platform to introduce Falun Dafa to many of these influential individuals.

Ami Ganatra, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, is a renowned scholar and writer who lived in Hong Kong for years. While talking with practitioners at the booth, she said had learned about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China.
