(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Twelve Practitioners and a Family Member Arrested on One Day
Twelve practitioners and a family member in the Acheng and Shuangcheng Districts were arrested on August 21, 2025. They are: Ms. Li Hongmei, Ms. Cheng Liyun, Ms. Jin Changshu, Ms. Niu Guixia, Ms. Li Haiyan, Mr. Liu Jianwei, Mr. Yu Junjie, his wife Ms. Zhou Chuanying, Mr. Li Xiukuan, Ms. Chen Xiuhua, a male practitioner in his late 30s, and Mr. Liu Guohui from the Flax Factory and his non-practitioner wife.
The police raided Ms. Jin’s home and took photos of her in the Acheng District Police Department.
When they arrested Mr. Li at his home, the police snatched his cellphone and spent hours raiding his place, loading two cars with confiscated items.
Ms. Chen’s home was ransacked by a dozen officers from the Acheng District Domestic Security Division.
2. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Hongmei Arrested
Ms. Liu Hongmei was arrested at home by officers from the Dongwenshan Township Police Station and the Laishui County Police Department on the morning of August 21, 2025. Her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated.
3. [Da’an City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Face Indictment, Three Detained
Ms. Geng Jiqiu, Mr. Li Yandong, and Ms. Dong Lianzhi, were arrested by officers from the Da’an City Domestic Security Division on June 3, 2025. Their homes were ransacked. Their cases have been submitted to the Da’an City Procuratorate.
Mr. Li is being held in the Da’an City Detention. Ms. Geng and Ms. Dong are in the Baicheng City Detention Center. Their family members have not been allowed to visit them.
4. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wei Huirong Arrested
Ms. Wei Huirong, 79, was arrested at home on the morning of August 14, 2025, by officers from the Xincun Police Station and Xichang City Police Department. Her Falun Gong books, cell phones, and other personal items were confiscated.
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lin Jinli Arrested
Ms. Lin Jinli, 48, was arrested in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, on August 10, 2025, while visiting there on a tour. The Yangzhou police went to her home in Harbin City and ransacked it. She is being held in Yangzhou City.
6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Guiping Admitted to Prison
Ms. Zhao Guiping, 71, was sentenced to five years and fined 30,000 yuan by the Dadong District Court on March 31, 2025. The Shenyang City Intermediate Court rejected her appeal on May 28, 2025. She has been transferred to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Hongjie Detained
Ms. Zhang Hongjie, 52, was arrested by officers from the Long’an Police Station and the Domestic Security Division for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of August 14, 2025. Her home was ransacked and over 10 Falun Gong books were confiscated. She is being held in the Jinzhou City Detention Center.
