(Minghui.org) Practitioners held a rally in Ireland’s capital, Dublin, on July 19, 2025, to peacefully protest the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) 26-year-long persecution. They also condemned the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, which targets practitioners.

“You Show Compassion”
Alexa from Mexico said this was the first time she had heard of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). About the exercises, she said, “It is very peaceful and caught our attention.” Her daughter Adrianan praised Falun Dafa.
Adrianan encouraged practitioners to keep protesting, “You show compassion. So at some point, it will be returned. So there’s no reason to give up on something that brings light.”

Alexa agreed and said, “In the middle of what's going on around the world, we need this type of practice.” She said what the practitioner did was meaningful. “It’s not about just protesting. You are protesting with your principles (Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance).”
Good Will Prevails Evil
Insurance Broker Mark signed the petition calling to stop the persecution and said that positive and active belief should not be limited. “Anything that objectively restricts the growth or happiness or belief or practice of others is objectively wrong in itself. The whole point of any form of life, whether it be human or plant or animal, any kind, is to grow and flourish, as best it can,” he said.
“People live a thousand miles an hour. And they don’t realize it from the moment they’re born, especially with the media and TV. We’re all asked to subscribe to either comic book knowledge, a film, society, or a group. So everyone’s being fed into narrow lines. The only way anyone is really going to see the world as part of this is to practice some form of personal concentration to feel at peace with yourself, and to stop all the noise. I don’t think people really know themselves until they gain a bit of silence inside. Once you know yourself, then you can really listen to subscribe to a belief.”
Although the CCP’s persecution is ongoing, Mark said, “We all believe at some point good will overcome evil.”

The CCP Is Not China
Abby, who works in journalism, saw the practitioners’ rally from across the street. “We saw people meditating, and it just looked really interesting and different because you don’t see that much in Dublin. So we wanted to come and see,” she said after signing the petition.
Abby moved here from Scotland six months ago and said she read about the CCP’s human rights violations on social media, but she did not understand it in depth. When she heard that the CCP has persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners who follow Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance for more than two decades, she said, “I can’t imagine how hard it would be to live somewhere you don’t have free speech and you’re oppressed. To me, discrimination because of any belief is just not acceptable.”
Her friend Joonas agreed and said, “I think communism isn’t good. Every communist regime has shown that. It’s just not good for individuals. They might say it’s for the people, but it’s actually for the people at the top.”
Joonas also works in journalism and said the CCP regime and China are two different concepts. He said his parents are from Eastern Europe and grew up under communism. “No one misses it,” he said.
This Is Important
Orlaigh saw the practitioners’ group practice and stopped to watch. “These people look beautiful and peaceful. I wanted to know what they were doing. Then I started to read [the display boards] and realized this is quite important,” she said.
When she heard about the CCP’s brutal persecution and forced organ harvesting that targets practitioners, she said, “It’s inhumane. It's just barbaric. We all should have the freedom to choose our spiritual beliefs. That is our natural freedom. The minute we’re born, we should be allowed to choose what we believe in.”
She said practitioners persevere in their belief under such brutal persecution, “You just show how strong you are when you believe in something. It’s just inspirational to see all of this.”
Orlaigh encouraged practitioners to persist, “You’re waking people up. That’s really, really most important. Because most people are good, they want to support you.”
Any Tyranny Will End
Séan is a local resident and said his friends told him about Falun Dafa. So when he saw the practitioners’ rally that day, he signed the petition. He said he wanted to say something to practitioners in China: “Always practice. Continue, continue, continue. Never give up on hope.”

Stan also expressed his support for the practitioners’ protesting of the persecution. In Stan’s view, the CCP is completely different from China. “China has a traditional culture, a beautiful culture. And the Chinese government has decimated that culture and attacked the decent Chinese people. The Chinese communists are not interested in this. They want total control. They don’t have the right to totally control people. The people have the right to freedom.”
Stan said that the persecution would definitely stop. “Under God’s mercy, things will definitely change, because I don’t think tyranny can last long. Any tyranny will end.”
Candlelight Vigil
On the evening of July 20, practitioners gathered outside the Chinese Embassy in Ireland to mourn those practitioners who were persecuted to death for upholding their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
