(Minghui.org) It has been more than 20 years since Fa-rectification cultivation began. I have progressed from my early days of individual cultivation to doing the three things well. Looking back, I feel that Master Li has always been by my side, watching over and protecting me. I am writing down my experiences to report to Master and share with fellow practitioners. If anything is inappropriate, please kindly point it out.
I Have Found the Master
I am 73 years old. My wife and I were fortunate to learn Falun Dafa in 1996. When I saw Master’s kind and peaceful portrait in one of his books, I knew I had found my long-awaited, true path of cultivation practice.
I went to the practice site every morning and felt the peaceful and compassionate energy field. Everyone promptly began to do the exercises when the music started. The movements were graceful and uniform. The environment was peaceful; only the pleasant music echoed in the breeze.
Every night, I went to a neighbor’s house to study the Fa and read Zhuan Falun. We sat together and talked about our cultivation experiences of improving our xinxing and the challenges we faced in looking inward for our shortcomings. We constantly improved ourselves and let go of attachments. This was the happiest time of my life!
Master Saved My Life
In September 1998, we were on our way home from group Fa-study when I was hit by a speeding motorcycle. I was thrown more than 20 meters away. I was stunned, but felt I was being held up by two hands. I didn’t know what was going on.
I vaguely heard the two young men on the motorcycle talking. One man said, “We hit someone. Call the police!” My wife and the other practitioners who were walking with me helped me up. My mind gradually became clear. I didn’t feel scared or panicked. I realized this was Master helping me improve my xinxing.
I was not hurt, but there was a big hole in the side of my pants. After a while, two policemen arrived and asked how I was and whether I needed to go to the hospital. I replied, “I’m fine. I practice Falun Dafa. I don’t need to go to the hospital.” I then turned to the two men, “You can go. I will fix the broken bicycle myself.” They were so moved that they kept thanking me.
The police told them, “You really met a good person today!” I knew it was Master who had saved my life.
Fulfilling My Vows to Save Sentient Beings
Since Jiang Zemin, the now deceased former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader, initiated the persecution of Falun Dafa in July 1999, the TV stations continuously slandered Falun Dafa. Especially after the CCP fabricated the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident, many people were deceived. How to stand up for and validate Dafa became a difficult test for practitioners.
We lived in the western part of the county and distributed Dafa informational materials to all the neighboring villages. In winter, we did not feel cold while walking in the wind and snow. We distributed the materials door to door, put up posters, and hung up banners. We exposed the self-immolation as a fake, told people not to listen to the CCP’s propaganda, and cleared up their misunderstandings of Dafa.
Master said:
“For a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, personal liberation is not the goal of cultivation: when you came, saving sentient beings was your great aspiration, and that is the responsibility and mission history has bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification.” (“Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World’s People”, The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)
Since Master published this article in 2004, I have begun to clarify the truth to people face to face. Here are a few examples of people who have received blessings after learning the truth.
A Grain Vendor
We went to a farmer’s grain stall in April 2020 when the country was at the peak of the COVID pandemic. We asked him if the pandemic had any impact on his grain sales. He said it did a little, but not much. We had bought grain from him in 2014. We gave him informational materials and Dafa amulets, and helped him quit the CCP.
He sincerely recited “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” and accepted our paper currency with information about Dafa written on it. He then used the bills as change to pass them on to others. He believes in Dafa from the bottom of his heart. He said that his son and daughter-in-law also started to read the Dafa materials he brought back home. They believed they were factual, and that what the TV promoted was all fiction.
The vendor has asked us for Minghui calendars and truth-clarification materials many times. He said that his grandson likes the calendar a lot. The whole family believes that Falun Dafa is good, and they treat practitioners well.
I paid a special visit to him last year. He said that they have received blessings since coming in contact with Dafa. His grain business was getting busier. His grandson was admitted to a prestigious medical university and was assigned to work in a hospital upon graduation. They thanked Master from the bottom of their hearts.
A Vegetable Vendor
I went to a stall to buy vegetables in 2020 and gave the vendor an amulet. When I told her the facts about Dafa and advised her to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. She said, “I’ve never joined any organization in my life. But I know the Communist Party has done many evil things and deceived people. It has hurt Dafa and made the Chinese people suffer. I can see that you’re a kind person. You still think about others when the plague [COVID] comes. It’s really remarkable. Thank you!”
I replied, “Don’t thank me. I practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I have a master.”
“Then, I thank your master!” She said, and advised me to be careful and avoid talking to those people who might report me.
A Tofu Stall Owner
I passed by a tofu stall I’d visited before. The owner walked out from behind the stall and cheerfully asked me to have a seat. She exclaimed, “I want to tell you that since you helped my husband and me quit the Party, our business has been booming and everything is going smoothly! I told my husband that we have benefited from Falun Dafa!”
“We all have our Master taking care of us,” I replied. “If you believe in Dafa, Master will take care of you, and you will receive blessings.”
“Then I really have to thank your Master! Thank you for letting us know the truth about Dafa!” she said.
I have left many footprints helping Master to save people in the streets, markets, and fields. And I feel extremely honored to see the smiling faces of sentient beings who know the truth about Dafa. Helping Master to rectify the Fa is the sacred mission of a Dafa practitioner. I must seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, fulfill my vows, and return home with Master at Consummation!
