(Minghui.org) In front of the Chinese Embassy in Stockholm and next to the Parliament Building in the center of the city, practitioners held a rally, demonstrated the exercises, clarified the truth, and collected signatures on July 19, 2025. They called on everyone in Sweden to condemn and help to end the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 26-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa.

Protest in Front of the Chinese Embassy

Practitioners started the day by demonstrating the Falun Dafa exercises on the lawn in front of the Chinese Embassy. They distributed informational flyers to passersby and collected signatures on a petition to stop the persecution of Falun Dafa, including the forced organ harvesting from practitioners while they are alive.

A practitioner read an open letter to the embassy staff, urging them to respect basic human rights and stop persecuting Falun Dafa. Practitioners also read out statements from Nima Gholam Ali Pour, MP, and Elisabeth Lann, Gothenburg Deputy Mayor and co-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance (IPAC), in support of Falun Dafa practitioners’ endeavors to end the persecution.

The event was calm and peaceful. Most passing vehicles slowed down or honked their horns to support the protesters.

Exposing the CCP’s Crimes

That afternoon, practitioners set up an information booth on Mynttorget Square next to the Swedish Parliament Building in central Stockholm to introduce Falun Dafa to local residents and tourists. They also exposed the crimes taking place in China by re-enacting a scene of the CCP’s live organ harvesting and trafficking. A steady stream of people learned about the persecution and signed their names to support Falun Dafa.

A Western Practitioner Personally Experienced the CCP’s Brutality

Swedish Falun Dafa practitioner Torbjörn, a retired business owner, was one of the 36 Western practitioners who went to Beijing’s Tiananmen Square on November 20, 2001, to unfurl a banner that read, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Torbjörn recounted the CCP’s brutality.

He said they were surrounded by seven or eight police vans and a large number of police officers and plainclothes officers in less than a minute when they unfurled a banner that read “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” on Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The police arrested them without any explanation, and when they saw that the practitioners did not obey, they beat them.

“I saw a policeman push a female practitioner in her 50s to the ground and drag her towards the police van. I had already been arrested and was shocked to see the officer brutally beating her. I jumped out of the van to pull him away, but several other officers rushed over, beat me, and then locked us all in the vans. There were policemen on either side of each practitioner,” Torbjörn said.

In protest, Torbjörn moved to the front of the van, pulled the key out of the ignition, and threw it out the window. Several police officers again started to beat him. Many Western practitioners were beaten that day. They were detained and finally expelled from the country.

Torbjörn said that a police officer who seemed to be a superior threatened them during the interrogation, saying, “China is very big. No one knows what happened to you. We can make you disappear immediately, understand?”

Fortunately, the practitioners had called the German Embassy to inform them of the details before they were detained by the Chinese police. Someone from the German Embassy came to visit and promptly notified the other embassies of the countries the practitioners were from.

The police suddenly became friendly, probably because they’d been given instructions from their superiors. They quickly arranged for the 36 Western practitioners to stay in a hotel and brought them water, all the while recording how kindly they were being treated. “The CCP’s cunning and hypocrisy are despicable and shameless, and its brutal methods are outrageous,” Torbjörn said.

Swedish Couple Condemns the CCP’s Crime of Organ Harvesting

A Swedish couple read everything on the display board and signed the petition to stop forced organ harvesting. The woman, a doctor who worked at Karolinska Hospital, knew that organ transplants are strictly regulated. “In Sweden, there are strict regulations for organ transplants. How is it possible to get organs so easily and use them for transplants in such a short period of time, and in such an astonishing number? This is almost impossible. I can imagine that, in a place like China, if a doctor doesn’t do it against his will, he himself might be silenced or disappear.

“I will tell my colleagues about this, and we will all work together to stop it.” She took a copy of all the materials and expressed her thanks.

Mother and Daughter Call on Countries to Unite to Stop the Persecution

A mother and her daughter from the United States were very angry after learning the facts about the CCP’s persecution and the live organ harvesting crimes.

After she signed the petition, she said, “My daughter signed, too. That’s great. Now I’m going to tell my husband and our friends who came from the U.S. They should all sign. You are doing the right thing! You want more people to pay attention to this. This kind of thing [organ harvesting] must not be tolerated and cannot continue. All countries should unite to take action and work together to stop the persecution.”

Japanese Tourist Loves Falun Dafa

Ito Miki from Japan watched the exercise demonstrations and read the display boards and flyers. She was shocked to learn that Falun Dafa was banned in China and that practitioners were persecuted for refusing to give up their belief. After talking with practitioners, she said she understood the truth and signed the petition to show her support.

“I love to travel. This year I spent three months visiting 20 countries, and Sweden is my last stop. I am very lucky to have learned such important things here and encountered such a peaceful, ancient Chinese traditional practice,” Ito said.

She was very interested in Falun Dafa. She took videos of all the activities and took pictures with practitioners.
