(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Luan Qingling Arrested
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Yuhua Detained
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yujie Arrested
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Caihong’s Pension Withheld for Four Years
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Jiamin Detained
6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Lijie Released After Serving 3.5 Years
1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Luan Qingling Arrested
Ms. Luan Qingling was arrested by over ten plainclothes agents on July 8, 2025, as she was walking down Fengxiang Road in the Laiwu District.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Yuhua Detained
Ms. Song Yuhua was arrested at her doorstep on the morning of July 10, 2025, by ten officers from Xigang District Police Department and the Xianglujiao Police Station. She was given ten days at the Jinjia Street Lockup.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yujie Arrested
Ms. Han Yujie, 72, was forced to live away from home in late 2024 to avoid being arrested by Fenjin Police Station officers. She found a job as a housemaid in Nongan County, which is under the administration of Changchun. The Changchun police tracked her through surveillance cameras and arrested her on the afternoon of July 10, 2025.
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Caihong’s Pension Withheld for Four Years
Ms. Zhao Caihong, 65, was arrested by officers from the Daling Police Station on June 6, 2013, and sentenced to four years in prison by the Acheng District Court. After she was released from the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on June 6, 2017, she went to the Social Security Bureau to apply for her pension. The Acheng District Social Security Bureau claimed that she wasn’t entitled to any retirement benefits while serving time (although no Chinese labor law has such stipulation) and thus suspended her pension payments for four years and the cost-of-living adjustments during that time.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Jiamin Detained
Ms. Zhang Jiamin was arrested on August 30, 2024, when she was talking to people about Falun Gong in the neighboring Hebei Province. All of the Falun Gong informational materials she had with her were confiscated. She was detained for 15 days and released.
6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Lijie Released After Serving 3.5 Years
Ms. Liu Lijie was released from the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on July 11, 2025, after serving a 3.5-year prison term. The Xiangyang District Political and Legal Affairs Committee and Justice Bureau ordered her to meet with them. She didn’t comply.
