(Minghui.org) Under the directive of the Liaoning Province Public Security Bureau, the Linghai City Police Department and its subordinate police stations arrested 14 local citizens on June 2-3, 2025, for their shared faith in Falun Gong.

Three of the Falun Gong practitioners were released hours later, but the rest remain in detention.

The police monitored the targeted practitioners for some time before making the arrests. They installed magnetic GPS trackers on the practitioners’ cars and electric bicycles, staked themselves outside the practitioners’ homes, and followed them when they went out. During the arrests, the police confiscated the practitioners’ Falun Gong books, portraits of the founder of Falun Gong, as well as computers, printers, music players, flash drives, and paper currency printed with Falun Gong messages.

The twelve practitioners arrested on June 2 include: Ms. Fu Wenjie, 66; Ms. Wang Hui, in her 40s; Ms. Yu Aimin, 60; Ms. Liang Jinjun, in her 60s; Mr. Liang (first name unknown), around 60; Mr. Jiang Nan, around 50, and his mother; two women both surnamed Dai and in their 60s (first names unknown); Ms. Hu Jie, Ms. Wang Yanjie and Ms. Lu Ping.

Two other practitioners, Ms. Li Yujie, and Ms. Dong Li, in her 50s, were arrested on June 3. Both were released hours after their arrests. Among the remaining 12 practitioners, Ms. Fu and two others (it is unclear who) were given criminal detention, while the rest were placed on administrative detention.

The police submitted the cases to the Linghai City Procuratorate, which will make a decision about whether to issue formal arrest warrants. Prosecutor Li Feng is in charge of the cases. The Linghai City Procuratorate and Linghai City Court were designated to handle all Falun Gong cases in the greater Jinzhou area.
