(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in West Valley Wellness Expo in Peoria, Arizona, on June 7, 2025. They were invited to give a 45-minute exercise demonstration. Many people learned about Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong).

Located in Maricopa and Yavapai counties, Peoria is a major suburb of Phoenix and the sixth largest city in the state with a population of about 170,000. It is a desert oasis surrounded by the Sonoran Desert where outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy camping, hiking, scuba diving, kayaking, horseback riding, biking, and other outdoor activities.

The West Valley Wellness Expo is a popular event that aims aims to improve people’s physical and mental health while deepening their sense of community and life goals.

Expo activities included healing courses, massage therapy, sound healing, health consultations, and spiritual services. Workshops and guest speakers were also held every hour.

Some of the people who stopped at the Falun Dafa booth that morning said they were very interested in learning the Falun Dafa exercises and would be sure to watch the exercise demonstration in the afternoon. Many people thanked practitioners for teaching the exercises for free.

Introducing Falun Dafa at West Valley Wellness Expo

Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa and told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Most visitors took informational materials and signed the petition that urges the U.S. Senate to pass the Falun Gong Protection Act. The Act would sanction those who participate in forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and prisoners of conscience.

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs signed the Arizona Ending Organ Harvesting Act (HB 2109) in May. Similar legislation has been passed in Texas, Utah, Idaho, and Tennessee. The bill allows insurance companies and the state’s Medicaid agency to deny or limit coverage for people who received an organ transplant in China or received an organ from China.
