To Be a True Cultivator

(Minghui.org) I am seventy-six years old and, for twenty-three years, I’ve traveled through stormy times on my cultivation path. I know I made it this far because Master protected me.

In Zhuan Falun Master explained that we will encounter various challenges during cultivation. He taught us the principles to guide us as we transform from human beings into divine beings. As long as we study the Fa attentively, often, and well, maintain righteous thoughts and actions, look inward when we encounter problems, and work on our hearts, there are no challenges we cannot overcome.

My daily schedule is packed. I get up at 3 a.m. to do exercises, after that, I send righteous thoughts, and then I read one lecture of Zhuan Falun. I go out to clarify the truth to people after 9 a.m. I return home to send righteous thoughts at noon, memorize the Fa in the afternoon, and send righteous thoughts at 6 p.m. Every evening, I send righteous thoughts at 7, 8, and 9 p.m. I use the rest of the time to read Master’s lectures given in various cities and I read Minghui Weekly articles.

While reading Zhuan Falun, I noticed that Master repeatedly used the word “truly,” which means truthfully and to the fullest degree. This had a profound impact on me, and I realized that Master’s requirements for cultivators are very strict.

I reflected on my cultivation and asked myself: Have I truly believed in Master and the Fa during my many years of cultivation? Do I truly respect Master and the Fa? Do I truly calm my mind when I read the Fa? When encountering problems or passing tests do I truly look inward? Do I truly calm my mind when I send righteous thoughts? Do I truly have a compassionate heart when I tell people about the persecution? I searched within myself and found that in many areas, my actions did not meet Master’s requirement of “truly.”

I decided to rectify myself in the Fa and focus on those areas that were lacking.

I vowed to truly believe in and respect Master and the Fa. When I read the Fa I focus on each word and it to heart. When I encounter a xinxing test, I genuinely focus on myself, look inward, and avoid looking outward.

I go out with other practitioners every day, rain or shine, at 9 a.m. and clarify the truth about the persecution to people. Before leaving, I burn incense to Master and ask for his blessing to save more sentient beings and for his blessing and protection. Master sees that I have the heart to save people and brings predestined people to me. Thus, each week, I am able to clarify the truth to 40 to 50 people and help them quit the Chinese Communist Party.

As Falun Dafa cultivators, we must send righteous thoughts and truly cleanse our field. By strictly disciplining myself I’m now able to calm down when I send righteous thoughts. When I raise my palm to eliminate the evil, my body is surrounded by powerful energy, and I feel as though I am standing tall and strong. Once, while sending righteous thoughts, I noticed that my right hand became snow-white, and my fingertips were transparent, a manifestation of enormous energy.

I bow in gratitude to revered Master for saving me. We must truly take Dafa’s principles as our standard, assist Master in Fa-rectification, and help him save more sentient beings.
