Additional Persecution News from China – May 29, 2025 (6 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Gao Lianhou Sentenced and Denied Family Visit

1. [Beijing] Mr. Gao Lianhou Sentenced and Denied Family Visit

Mr. Gao Lianhou, 52, of Gansu Province, was working in the Daxing District, Beijing. He was arrested in Daxing District in 2023 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and was later sentenced to six years in prison. His family hasn’t been allowed to visit him.

This is the second time that Mr. Gao has been sentenced. He was previously given three years and four months in 2017 by a court in Changli County, Hebei Province, after he was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong there.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chi Enhong Faces Trial

Mr. Chi Enhong, 76, of Shenhe District, is being held in Shenhe District Detention Center. He has been indicted, and he is now facing trial by the Shenhe District Court.

3. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Kunfang Formally Arrested

Ms. Li Kunfang’s arrest has been approved by the Pingdu City Procuratorate.

4. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Huifang, Mr. Wei Liping, and Ms. Liu Xinli were arrested by Jinniushan Police Station officers on the afternoon of May 26, 2025. They were taken to the Yingkou City Lockup the next day to be held for 15 days.

5. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Pei Huancai Arrested

Pei Huancai, gender unknown, was arrested on the afternoon of May 28, 2025. Pei’s home was ransacked.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhu Yunxiang Under Police Surveillance

Ms. Zhu Yunxiang of Putuo District was under police surveillance for three days, from May 11 to 13, 2025.
