(Minghui.org) May 13, 2025, marks the 26th annual World Falun Dafa Day and the 33rd anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction. On this occasion, Mayor Dean J. Trantalis of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, together with four City Commissioners, officially declared May 13, 2025, as “Falun Dafa Day” in the City of Fort Lauderdale.

The proclamation from the Office of the Mayor of Fort Lauderdale

The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a practice that focuses on the improvement of mind, body, and spirit through adherence to the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.

“Introduced in Florida in 1996, Falun Dafa has positively impacted countless Floridians, with practice sites across the state, offering this easy-to-learn, enjoyable activity free of charge.

“Its contributions to health, character development, and community well-being have been widely recognized and celebrated across the United States. Falun Dafa continues to be offered freely to the public, allowing individuals the opportunity to experience its teachings and benefits.”
