[Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day] Family Member of a Falun Gong Practitioner: I Believe the Dafa Principles

Greetings, revered Master Li.

I am a relative of a Falun Dafa practitioner. I heard that anyone who believes in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance can submit an article to commemorate World Falun Dafa Day. I would like to share my story of how I benefited from Falun Dafa, so that people can know the truth, distinguish between good and evil, and receive blessings.

I do not practice Falun Dafa, but my wife does. I know it is a good cultivation way. I always wear a Falun Dafa amulet. As a truck driver who often drives at night, I vividly recall nine times when I fell asleep at the wheel. Just as I was about to encounter danger, I opened my eyes and avoided an accident. I know that Master Li woke me up at the critical moment and protected me from harm. After each close call, I sincerely thanked Him from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks to my wife, I know the truth about Dafa. I know that good will be rewarded and evil will be punished, so I never bully others. Sometimes, when I see elderly farmers selling vegetables on the street, I recognize their hardships, so I never haggle over the price and pay whatever they ask.

One night, a man who was having a barbecue urinated behind my truck. He accidentally left his wallet on the bumper of the vehicle. The next morning, I saw the wallet. It contained a stack of cash, an ID card, a bank card, and other personal items. The address indicated that the wallet belonged to a nearby resident, so I found the owner and returned it to him.

Eventually, I bought a truck and became my own boss. I hired a driver to haul sand and gravel. When I settled accounts with the accountant, he paid me 20,000 yuan more than I expected. I went home and asked my wife to double-check the figures. She said there was an over-payment of 20,000 yuan, so I returned the money. The accountant said, “Oh, I miscalculated! Thank you, brother. I’ll treat you to dinner some other day.” I smiled and said, “Okay.”

One time, a customer gave me an extra 10,000 yuan when he paid his bill. Again, my wife double-checked the numbers and confirmed that there was an over-payment, so I returned it to him. This happened several times. As bosses, my customers keep in touch with each other and thus know about my honesty. One of them asked me, “Why are you so kind and honest?” I said, “I believe good will be rewarded.”

Another time, when settling the bill, I received over ten thousand yuan too much. For some reason, a thought crossed my mind: “They gave me the extra money; I didn’t steal it or take it by force. Besides, they aren’t aware of it. I’ll just keep it.”

At that moment, I recalled what my father-in-law often said: “Don’t take advantage of others; don’t lose virtue, which is the source of blessing and happiness.” My father-in-law is a Dafa practitioner. I lived with him for a while before his daughter and I were married. He placed very little value on personal gain, which profoundly impacted me. Thus, I also hold the Falun Dafa practice in high regard. Ultimately, I returned the money.

An acquaintance managed to obtain diesel fuel at a price significantly lower than the market rate. He was confident that he could earn a considerable profit by selling it with a markup. He expressed an interest in working with me, but I felt the origin of the diesel fuel was unclear, so I couldn’t risk profiting from its sale. I decided to decline the offer.

After struggling through life for many years, I have witnessed how mainland Chinese people turn their backs on their family members when economic gain could be affected. Dafa disciples are like lotus flowers, rising from the mud without being stained by it. I also listen to Master and try to be a good person. I hope He will take me back to a heavenly world.

Thank you, Master, for protecting me many times when I was in danger.
