My Neighbors Know Falun Dafa Is Good

(Minghui.org) When several practitioners were watching Master Li’s video lectures at my home one evening, we heard a knock at the door. I opened it to find several police officers who said they wanted to check my household registry. I was surprised and didn’t let them in. I raised my voice when I spoke to them so that the other practitioners could hear me and turn off the video.

But they didn’t know how to switch it off and didn’t hide the DVDs laying on the desk. The police pushed past me and took the DVDs and audiotapes of Master’s lectures and some truth-clarification materials from the cabinet. One officer picked up a bag, put the tapes and materials into it, and headed towards the door.

I jumped in front of him and grabbed the bag. Another officer pushed me away with an electric baton, saying that I was in their way. He said that they would come back for us. One police officer said that my home was a practice site because there were several cushions for people to sit on.

I looked outside the window and saw three police cars and many more officers outside the building. I sent forth righteous thoughts and clarified the truth to the officers. Five or six of them wielded their electronic batons towards me. I said firmly and loudly, “Put down your batons and give me what you’ve confiscated! It is for your own benefit and the good of your future. Falun Dafa practitioners are good people. It is not wrong to practice Falun Dafa. Do not do anything wrong.” I didn’t have any fear at the time.

I knew that I must face this situation in a righteous manner. I went outside and shouted, “Neighbors, please come and see what is going on. The police are robbing me.” When my neighbors came, I said, “The police took my belongings. I practice Falun Dafa. My master, Master Li Hongzhi, teaches us to be good people. Is that wrong?” The neighbors reprimanded the police for their wrongdoings.

Several of them said, “She is the best person in this building.”

Others said, “Why are you taking somebody else’s stuff? Please return it. She practices Falun Dafa at home. She doesn’t hinder you from doing anything.”

Others said, “Look what harm you have done to this elderly lady. Her children are not at home. If anything happens, you will be held responsible.”

Another person said, “Nowadays the police don’t do right things. They don’t arrest bad people, just good people. Why are they bullying an old lady?”

They all criticized the police and deterred them. One officer said, “We’d better give her things back.”

Another officer said, “We will give your things back to you. Please be quiet. We know that you are a good person. Actually, we didn’t want to get involved. An officer from the 610 Office will come soon. They are in charge of Falun Gong. You’d better be ready. They will search your home.”

One neighbor said, “Why did you search her place? She is on her own. You’d better leave.”

As the policemen were leaving, one said, “Look at what a mess we’ve made, what trouble we have caused ourselves!” They got into their cars and drove away.

At 11 p.m., several neighbors came into my apartment while another one stood guard outside the door. One of them said, “They said that someone would come and search your place. Do you have anything else here?” I was in charge of transporting truth-clarification materials to dozens of practitioners. I put all the materials into two big bags, and the neighbors took them upstairs.

Then I sent forth righteous thoughts and begged Master to strengthen me and save me and to dismantle the evil’s plan. I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and won’t allow the evil to persecute me. I could feel strong energy. Thanks to Master and my strong righteous thoughts, the police changed their plan and gave up their ill intention to persecute me. The police called my company manager and deputy manager to my home at midnight and left the matter with them. The police left in a hurry.

I didn’t cooperate with the police during the four-hour ordeal. I have never argued or fought with anyone, let alone with the police, before. It was the power of Dafa and Master’s compassionate protection that helped me overcome this dilemma.

After the police left, I told my managers, “I am sorry to disturb you so late. I don’t know how they got your telephone numbers.”

The manager said, “I rushed here after I received their call. I came here to help resolve the problem for you. It’s good to know that you are all right. Please be careful from now on.”

I told them how the police took my belongings. The deputy manager said, “They used to say that the bandits were in the mountains but now the bandits are in the police department. It is so true.” I clarified the truth to them further and asked them to remember “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” They said they would.

The police took the DVDs and audiotapes of Master’s lectures and Master’s photo. I was not able to stop them. I have a heavy heart and a lot of shame.

I looked within and found that I had a strong show-off mentality and fear. I didn’t take things seriously and had many human notions. I was afraid that the police would take Master’s photo, so I took it down and hid it behind the door. This was my human notion. I didn’t stop the police with righteous thoughts. I didn’t study the Fa attentively and seldom sent forth righteous thoughts in the last ten days because my home was being renovated. The evil took advantage of my loophole.

I had a strong attachment to the duration of Fa-rectification. I felt that Fa-rectification was coming to an end. I would go to Tiananmen Square on Chinese New Year’s Day and then find a quiet place to cultivate myself. I didn’t want to come home. This thought came up in my mind again and again. The evil took advantage of my loopholes. It was dangerous, but thanks to Master’s protection, the persecution was dissolved.

This was a wake-up call for me. I have become clearheaded now. I must be mindful of my attachments, walk my cultivation path with a pure mind, and take every step with righteous thoughts.

I learned from this incident how important it is to clarify the truth to my neighbors and managers. They knew the truth and that Falun Dafa is good, so they stepped up to protect me and my Dafa materials. I realized that when I clarified the truth to my neighbors and managers well, I installed a safety net around myself. They positioned themselves well. The police gave up their evil intention to persecute me and were stopped from going down an evil path. This is the power of Falun Dafa and Master’s compassion.

At the last stage of the Fa-rectification, I must be clearheaded, do the three things well, and overcome all obstacles with righteous thoughts and righteous actions to save sentient beings. I will follow Master to return to my true home despite the hardships and risks.
