Additional Persecution News from China – May 2, 2025 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ten Practitioners Harassed

6. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiong Xiaolin Harassed
7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Hongyan Arrested

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Changzheng Faces Prosecution

Mr. Wang Changzheng has been detained since his arrest on April 16, 2024. He is now facing prosecution after the Dongxihu District Procuratorate approved his arrest on April 30, 2025.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Nie Xuelan Detained in a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Nie Xuelan from Dongxihu District was arrested on April 18, 2025, and given a 10-day administrative detention. When her family went to the Wuhan City First Lockup on April 29 to pick her up, they were told that she had been transferred to a brainwashing center by officers from the Wujiashan Street Police Station earlier that day.

3. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhu Lianxiu Missing

Ms. Zhu Lianxiu has gone missing since she left home to work on April 28, 2025. Her e-bike was still parked at the hotel where she was working at. Her family suspected that she might have been arrested.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] 10 Practitioners Harassed

Between April 14 and 29, 2025, at least 10 practitioners were harassed.

Ms. Sun Songmei was harassed by officers from the Shahe Police Station on April 14, 2025. Her wall calendars and other decorations bearing information about Falun Gong were confiscated. The police photographed and videotaped her home.

Ms. Li Caixiang, Ms. Guo Honglan, in her 70s, and Ms. Jing Chengying were harassed on April 23, 2025. The police confiscated photos of Falun Gong’s founder from both of their homes, as well as Ms. Li’s Falun Gong informational materials. Ms. Guo tried to stop the police from taking the photo away, but was pushed aside.

Two officers showed up at Mr. Guo Honghao’s home on the morning of April 28, 2025. It happened that Mr. Guo had a few guests. The police talked to his wife, Ms. Yang Jinfeng, also a practitioner, and then left.

Two officers harassed and photographed Ms. Li Yunying on the morning of April 29, 2025. They then went to Ms. Pan Ruihua’s home, but no one was in. In the afternoon, the police also harassed and photographed Ms. Sheng Chunhua and Mr. Xu Guangping. Ms. Sheng’s Falun Gong lectures were confiscated.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhong Hua Harassed

Ms. Zhong Hua was harassed at home and photographed by two officers from the Funan Police Station in Qingyang District around 8 p.m. on April 27, 2025.

6. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiong Xiaolin’s Private Car Impounded

Mr. Xiong Xiaolin’s car was confiscated by the Huangshi Traffic Police Detachment on April 24, 2025.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Hongyan Arrested

Ms. Zhou Hongyan was arrested on the afternoon of April 9, 2025, and has been detained in the Yaojia Detention Center.
