Additional Persecution News from China – April 7, 2025 (3 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their faith.

1. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jin Yongzhe Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Li and Ms. Wang Missing for Over Six Months
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Nie Jing Diagnosed with Uterine Fibroid While in Custody

1. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jin Yongzhe Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Mr. Jin Yongzhe was sentenced to four years in prison and he has been taken to a prison in Changchun City in December 2024.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Li and Ms. Wang Missing for Over Six Months

Ms. Jin Li, 80, and Ms. Wang (first name unknown), 78, both from the Erdao District, went out to talk to people about Falun Gong in early October 2024. They never returned home. Their family members asked around but never found them. They suspect that both practitioners have been arrested.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Nie Jing Diagnosed with Uterine Fibroid While in Custody

Ms. Nie Jin was arrested by officers from the Zijing Police Station and Linghe District Domestic Security Division on April 24, 2024. She was officially arrested by the Linghai City Procuratorate on April 30, 2024. She stood trial in the Linghai City Court on October 9, 2024, and was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.

During a physical exam around early April 2025, doctors discovered that Ms. Nie had a 6-cm uterine fibroid. Because the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison refused to admit her, she was taken back to the Jinzhou City Women’s Detention Center. The detention center told her family that they would still try to get her admitted to prison in the near future.
