(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Guifen Sentenced to Seven and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Zhang Guifen from Shenzhou City worked in Beijing. Because she participated in the group sharing online, she was arrested in the summer of 2023 and was detained until she was tried. It was recently learned that she had been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Jiang Quanwu Faces Trial

The case against Mr. Jiang Quanwu from Jiang’an District has been recently submitted to the Hanyang District Court. He is now facing trial.

3. [Dangshan County, Anhui Province] Case Against Ms. Hu Jinling Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Hu Jinling’s case was submitted to the Dangshan County Procuratorate on January 2, 2025. The prosecutor returned it on January 27, 2025, with a request for additional evidence.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shurong Harassed

Ms. Wang Shurong from Xiakan Village of Yutian County was harassed at home by four officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station on the afternoon of January 24, 2025. They took photos of her against her will.

5. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Zhuling Arrested

Ms. Wu Zhuling from Huidong County was arrested by a dozen officers from the Chengxi Police Station around 8 p.m. on January 20, 2025. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and a media player were confiscated. She was released that night. The home of her younger sister, Ms. Wu Zhuxian, was raided on the same evening.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cao Lili Arrested and Detained

Ms. Cao Lili’s home was ransacked by officers from the Wanggang Police Station in Nangang District. The police confiscated all Falun Gong books, two computers, two printers, and a cell phone. She was detained for 15 days from December 19, 2024, to January 3, 2025.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Ping Harassed

Ms. Chen Ping from Xuhui District was about to take a trip to Ningpo City, Zhejiang Province to visit her family on January 20, 2025, when a man stopped her and demanded to know her itinerary. She had no choice but to cancel her trip.

Ms. Chen was harassed again at home by officers from the Longhua Police Station and local community staff members on February 5, 2025. She found a man sleeping at her front door on two consecutive mornings of February 8 and 9, 2025. He was there to monitor her.

8. [Shanghai] Ms. Ying Yu and Ms. Ni Cuiping Being Monitored

Ms. Ying Yu was placed under residential surveillance from January 13 to 18, 2025. Ms. Ni Cuiping also found someone watching her from downstairs during the same period.
