France: People Condemn the Persecution of Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in Strasbourg, a city in eastern France, and Rennes, a city in northwest France, from December 5 to 7, 2025.

They demonstrated the Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) exercises, performed on waist drums, and talked to people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution of this mind-body cultivation practice. Many people signed a petition that calls to end the persecution in China.

Practitioners shared information with passersby from around the world at Strasbourg’s train station square, Place d’Austerlitz, and Place du Corbeau, from December 5 to 7.

Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa on the square in front of Strasbourg’s train station from December 5 to 7. Many people signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution in China.

People Sign Petition to End the Persecution

Morad, an industrial paint craftsman, was shocked to hear about the persecution and organ harvesting that targets Falun Dafa practitioners. “This kind of organ harvesting from practitioners is heinous! What is happening right now is a disaster. This is truly heartbreaking,” he said. Morad asked what he could do to help end such atrocities. He thought that if other countries knew about this, they would take action, speak out, and call for an end to this tragedy. He sincerely hoped to be able to stop this persecution: “People must be allowed to live!”

He said that he would share the online link to the petition with his family, so they could also sign.

Another passerby, Drako said, “I’m a doctor and I don’t agree with forced organ harvesting. Everyone needs to know about this [forced organ harvesting].”

Laurence, a biology researcher, was preparing to take the train home after completing her training in Strasbourg. She said, “I was completely unaware that this kind of barbaric act existed. Hopefully people will pay attention to this issue and this organ harvesting will be stopped.”

Alfred Empia, an independent worker, said, “I oppose any persecution that is happening in China. I demand complete eradication of the extraction of organs. This is horrible. People are born, live their own lives, and eventually die. These abnormal behaviors [organ harvesting] cannot be tolerated. People need to work and develop. But killing these people and extracting their organs—this is horrible. Human rights organizations must pay attention to this matter in order to put an end to all these heinous acts.”

El Kadhafi, a craftsman, said, “Any form of persecution should be prohibited and cannot be tolerated. We live in an increasingly violent world, where people’s hearts are filled with more and more hatred. We call for tranquility and peace. Hopefully everyone can enjoy this tranquility.” He told practitioners, “You are undergoing a noble struggle. I hope you persist! Good luck!”

Jean Gravel from Canada said he’d heard of Falun Gong. He recalled, “Falun Gong was initially encouraged by the Chinese government... Falun Gong did not do anything wrong. They are only practicing a peaceful and inspiring practice. Why persecute them? I cannot understand. I will never be able to understand. No one can understand the Chinese Communist Party. It is not logical at all.” He believes that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is terrifying. He also mentioned that the issue of forced organ harvesting was reported multiple times and a Canadian parliamentarian conducted an investigation.

Sophie Thomas, who works in the catering industry, said that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is inhuman and should be stopped. She also thought that this topic should be discussed more often to make it more widely known, because the impact is greater when this matter is reported on the news and is known by more people.

Information Day Event in Northwest France

Practitioners held an information day event at Place de la République in Rennes, the capital of Brittany in northwest France, on December 6. The event drew many passersby, many of whom took photos of the event and information boards.

Rennes is one of France’s major university cities. It is known as a city of art and history, having preserved a significant medieval and classical heritage in its historic center. Over 90 buildings are protected historic monuments.

Falun Gong practitioners held an information day event at Place de la République in Rennes on December 6.

Although it rained lightly that day, on this Saturday before winter break, there was still a large crowd at Place de la République. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and shared information with passersby. The exercise demonstration drew many to stop and take photographs. Some people also took photos of the information boards. A number of people said they were moved to learn about the persecution, and signed the petition opposing forced organ harvesting. Many people thanked practitioners for being there.

A student asked practitioners for more information about the persecution and took flyers to share with others at school. She thanked practitioners for providing this little-known but valuable information.

A woman signed the petition against forced organ harvesting and expressed concern about the ongoing genocide.

Another person was interested in reports by Minghui.org and took flyers to share with family and friends.
